「We had been looking forward to our weekly stay in Scotland for almost 3 years. Sadly, the villa did not meet our high expectations. First, the villa was in a nice location in Blairgowrie with a large yard, and a quiet neighborhood. The house has great character but it is old and rustic. There are 10 bedrooms inside the main house and 8 cottages in the courtyard. Ten of them are king bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. 「Property was as described, spacious and perfect for the nine of us that stayed there. October so unfortunately didn’t have the opportunity to use the garden but the hot tub was ready for us on arrival and there were games and books to use as well. Easy check in with details sent to us by the host on the morning of check in. 「Everything was great about our stay, host was very helpful!」

「My family come from Carnoustie area so know it well. We came up from Manchester for a break and a special family gathering . Friends came too who never visited before and they were over the moon with the house and surrounding areas . The Beach BoatHouse made the trip just that little bit more special. Highly recommended.」

「Lodges are lovely and very comfortable. The swimming pool and changing rooms need attention. We stayed in February 2025 and 1 of the 2 showers in the women’s changing room was out of order. We have just stayed there again and it’s still out of order. The working shower is clearly getting overused so the drain blocks quickly and you end up standing in a big puddle of water as it won’t drain. Not the cleanest shower, grout etc either 」

"The hotel is too old, size of the room fine, but the washroom is not good enough. The bathtub is slippery and I slipped and hurt my head when I get into the bathtub. Besides, the floor in the bathroom is slippery too. The window in 4/F, half of the window is covered by concrete, the building decoration, no window view. The window in 2/F is fine. The room has high ceiling, but the window is too small. I’ve reserved 2 rooms, but they arranged one in 2/F, one in 4/F. Which makes us inconvenient to take care kids. They should aware it when we made the reservation. "
