AMAZING LOCATION
Wonderful house with an awesome layout. -3 degrees and no problem staying warm inside. Short drive to Angel Fire is so worth what you get with this property with so much outside space to explore and hang out. Communication and detailed instructions from owner was amazing. Thank you for the memories!

Above and Beyond
Our stay at the beautiful cabin was an absolute delight. The cleanliness of the house was truely exceptional, and the level of comfort snd and coziness surpassed our expectations. Its evident that a great deal of care and attention to detail went into maintaining the cabin. Kitchen spacious and well stalked with supplies from extra trash bags, soap to paper towels, which we normally would have to purchase. As city slickers, we were nervous about operating the wood burning stove ( which is used to heat the home) since our ability to light a fire consists of flipping a switch! However, there was a supply of fire starters and plenty of wood. We loved it and relish the cozy ambiance. A notable aspect of our stay was the excellent communication from the homeowner, Chris. His updates and efforts to ensure we had everything we needed were highly appreciated. Not only did he keep us well informed about the amenities of the house, but also went above and beyond by providing weather updates! Tip. YOU MUST HAVE 4 WHEEL DRIVE during peak season. Our friends had snow mode and couldnt make it up the small slopes. Thankfully kind neighbors helped. Overall, our experience was not just a stay but a memorable and enjoyable retreat.

Beautiful, quiet mountain home!
Our family members came from different directions and with virtually no cell phone service, we couldn't communicate our ETAs, etc. But once we all finally got to the house, we had a delightful time.

Great Family Trip
The house was as advertised. Very clean and comfortable for our Easter break visit. Detailed instructions were provided on everything needed to make our visit a great one. Chris did a great job communicating. There was a major fire across the mountain to the east and Chris helped us keep up with news about its spread. The land line phone in the house (no cell service for our carriers at the house) was a definite asset to make calls for operating hours at restaurants, etc. Also, the county emergency service phoned prerecorded fire updates. Lots of deer and elk in the vicinity of this very quiet area. One of my grandsons enjoyed some gold panning along the Red River just north of Red River town limit and along the Cimarron River a few miles east of Eagle Nest along Hwy 64. A great family visit for us.

Cozy and secluded
Went to Angel Fire for a ski trip with friends and had a wonderful stay here. 10 minutes from the mountain/town, super cozy and roomy home to enjoy. Would definitely come back.

Best ski trip!
We joined with friends for a ski trip. There were 11 of us and the house was PERFECT! Plenty of room, clean, great location not too far from ski resort but still private! Owner was easy to contact for any questions. Would definitely recommend!

Family Christmas in Angel Fire
Great house, beautiful /convenient location, and super responsive host. Six kids loved sleeping/hanging in the media room after full day of outdoor fun. Kitchen, dining, living space are perfect for our family of 11. The host was exceptional responsive as needed. We made special memories and would definitely return.

Amazing

Beautiful home surrounded by beautiful nature
We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend enjoying this beautiful home in Angel Fire. The house has a rustic cabin feel but all the modern comforts. The hot tub was delightful under the stars, the kitchen was plenty big for us to cook for our group of 5 adults and 7 kids, the bedrooms were all spacious and comfortable. The property was great for the kids to run around and explore. We found perfect hiking just a few minutes up the road. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay in the mountains.

Angel Fire Vacation 2020
The location and house were fantastic. Chris was the ultimate host by having the wood burning stove on and the hot tub heating up ready upon our arrival. Even though the kids wanted to ski, we sheltered in place. The grandkids were able to sled down the hill on the property while we sat on the back porch watching them. It was our first family vacation in five years since our boys married and moved off. We made wonderful memories and are planning next years trip. I would recommend this house to everyone.

Close enough yet far enough away!
Remote, beautiful, quiet, relaxing! Close enough to town to go enjoy but far enough out to have your own space! Quiet and relaxing! Fun for all ages!

Awesome cabin and the owner was amazing to work with!
Beautiful home! We had 4 adults, a teenager, a 7 year old and a 3 year old and we ALL had so much fun! Great place for sledding! They have a wonderful media room, where we watched a movie each night and played games. We cooked 2 large meals each day and the kitchen was perfect! We would definetly stay here again!!

Nice, updated home. Great location!
The home was fully stocked with nice furnishings and kitchen items. Could have used more towels, since we had all women on this trip. :) Outside of that, location was quiet and peaceful and we were able to enjoy the weekend and spend some good, quality time together, which is exactly what we intended to do.

Beautiful home in a beautiful area
This home is beautiful, and the area the home is located is gorgeous. It is just far enough out that you feel secluded, but close enough to Angel Fire that if you want to go grab some groceries, food, etc you are not far at all. The only thing I would caution the renter about is that the hot tub is NOT free. The listing makes it look that way, but it is NOT. It's expensive to have it for your stay. It ended up being worth it in the end, but it definitely was upsetting to realize we had to pay a fairly large chunk to utilize something that we thought was included. Second, it is 35 miles from Taos, but an hour drive. So, if you are in town for Taos, this location is not for you unless you are ok with a drive. It is an hour because you are driving through the mountains. It's a gorgeous drive, but half of our party didn't go on outings with us out in Taos because they just didn't want to drive an hour both ways. All in all, this property was a delightful surprise. Just a few things to note before you commit. I wasn't able to talk to owner until close to our rental (was going through property manager), but he was really great! Super helpful and nice. Overall, great property, great owner and gorgeous area! If I were planning on skiiing in AF, I would book this house in a hot second!

Mimi & Papa Camp 2019
This is the third year we have taken our 6 grandkids on a summer outing. This home was perfect! Plenty of bedrooms for the kids plus a great secluded area for them to explore. Chris responded almost immediately to any question we had during our stay. Highly recommend!
