Overall we had a great stay here at Oak and Antler. The cabin was spotless and the location was great. The drive up to cabin is steep, which is to be expected, but it is also only wide enough for one vehicle. Thankfully, this was never an issue during our stay and there is only a few other cabins up along the way, but it is something to be aware of. As I said, the cabin was very clean, but it was also minimilistic. If you like minimilistic, then this is for you. I was just hoping for a bit more of a cozy vibe that I am used to when staying in the mountains. The view off of the back porch was beautiful, especially from the hot tub at sunset. The beds were comfortable, but be aware that they do not want you to have the air conditioning set below 72 degrees. Thankfully, we stayed in November and it was not super hot, but we are from Ohio and like it to be pretty cool when we sleep, so 72 is a bit warm for us. It is just something that needs to be addressed up front and not after the booking is made on the day of your stay. If we had stayed in the summer, this would have been a deal-breaker. It is important to get good sleep when you are on vacation. It would also be great to have directions on how to work the lock (not everyone knows how to work smart locks) and start the dishwasher (not all dishwashers work the same and I had to look up a You Tube video to know that I had to press the buttons when the door was open to get it to start). Lastly, it would be helpful to have a person to reach locally (without having to wait for Vacasa to respond) for any issues that do occur. We reached out regarding a few minor issues right after we checked in and Vacasa did not respond until later that evening and then the local team did not reach out until the next morning. We were already up and out of the cabin, in the National Forest and did not have service when they reached out, so there really was not much of a chance to get our issue fixed. Thankfully, it was nothing major, but could have been avoided- the listing does not specify what kind of coffee maker is provided- It was a Keurig, but the resusable filter was missing (we checked all cabinets and cupboards for it multiple times). So, we did not have hot coffee available for us in the cabin. Thankfully, we did find some local coffee, but it would have been nice to have first thing in the morning. Like I said, overall the cabin is nice and we had a pretty good experience. Just several minor inconveniences
