This beautiful 3Br/2Ba property sleeps up to 6 and is located on the mountain, approximately 1 mile from the base of Steamboat Springs ski area. The top two floors of this dual-family home boasts magnificent views of Mount Werner, Emerald Mountain, and Howelsen Hill, making this lodging option much more like a private residence than a vacation rental.
Our cabin-style home is very open and bright with nice views of the surrounding valley and mountains. With approximately 1600 sq. ft., the unit will help you to feel right at home after a hard day skiing and riding in Steamboat's wonderful recreational play land. With curated art from local artists, hardwood floors on the main level and carpeting on the second level, brand new windows throughout the whole house, and stainless steel appliances, the ambiance is cozy and the amenities are easy to use. There are 3 bedrooms, two upstairs and one on the main level. The living/entertainment space is open to the dining area and kitchen, making it easy to socialize while preparing meals or just hanging out in different locations. It is fully equipped with free wifi, smart TV's for accessing your apps, a complete kitchen, dining area, three flat screen televisions, DVD player, washer and dryer and all necessary linens. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, the other two bedrooms have queens, all three with pillow-top mattresses for maximum comfort. There is a huge deck the length of the house that provides wonderful sunshine and relaxing spots in the summer, and beautiful vistas in the winter. The unit also has parking space for up to 3 cars, and plenty of storage inside for skis and boots in the mud room. Located adjacent to the free shuttle, it is a short bus ride to the base of the mountain and The Silver Bullet Gondola.
*Please note: This house was not built with Air Conditioning (AC). We have it mentioned in several places, and want to cut down continued expectation confusion. In Steamboat, opening windows during the afternoons is generally enough to keep most homes temperate and comfortable. Unless staying at a resort, few stand-alone homes have AC and it is typically not necessary for this elevation and local weather patterns.
Steamboat Springs is known for fantastic skiing, hot mineral springs, and a lively Western atmosphere. Shopping, dining, and nightlife are year-round attractions. Winter offers snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and a mountain with more than 100 downhill trails and 20 lifts. Summer offers white-water rafting, championship golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and Keith Foster, and more than a million acres of wilderness in Routt National Forest for hiking, horseback riding, biking, and fishing. Sailing, windsurfing, and water skiing are available at nearby Stagecoach Reservoir.
