Life is Better at the Cabin
We really enjoyed our stay and everything is as advertised in the listing...Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! The owner was very easy to communicate with and was always very prompt with answers to our questions. The only issue we really experienced was upon arrival when we followed our phone's directions and it took us down the wrong road. Otherwise this is a great place, very comfortable and modern with a rustic feel. Everyone in our family was very impressed once we stepped inside and some regretted not being able to stay with us. Would definitely stay here again!

Cozy stay at the cabin!
Perfect weekend getaway with the family. Very comfortable, clean and accommodating! Loved cooking with the family, plenty of room and well supplied for the cook. The owners were pleasant, and great hosts! Loved the fire pit area by the creek and the walking trails. Look forward to visiting again, thank you!

Great Getaway!
This cabin is the perfect getaway! It's tucked away near a stream, but less than 20 minutes from historic downtown Staunton. The master bedroom suites upstairs and downstairs are spacious. Ideally setup for 3 couples, but there is a nice additional king bed downstairs, just not in a traditional bedroom. The bathrooms are contemporary and modern. The open kitchen, living room, dining area worked great for the group to chat, eat, and drink. The back deck runs the full length of the cabin and is screened-in with a large dining table. The sunrise coming through the trees, over the stream, into the kitchen in the morning was so nice to enjoy with coffee. The fire pit is down the hill by the stream (coming back up the hill is a nice leg workout 🙂) and there is an outdoor grill that the guys used - the food came out great. We played Jenga and Scrabble, that the host has kindly provided (alomg woth some other games). There is a foosball table downstairs too. I'm not sure if there is a washer and dryer onsite because I didn't look for it lol. The hosts are amazing at answering any questions you have!! The only thing we had to maneuver all weekend was the parking- its down a narrow gravel drive and only room for our 2 SUVs- you need to be a good backup driver to get in and out :) I highly recommend staying here!

Perfect Unwind
This is an exceptionable property. It is QUIET. The porch is fantastic for morning coffee, breakfast and evening meals. The home is well-furnished and very clean. The kitchen is adequate for any cooking needs and the overall floorplan lends itself well to family activities. Interaction with the owner is both pleasant and professional. My family really enjoyed this property. The proximity to Staunton, wineries and hiking is excellent. I wholeheartedly recommend the cabin for any family's stay in the Staunton area.

Life Is More Than Just "Better" At This Cabin
it's our first time to stay in this cabin we weren't really sure what would happen but to our delight all day and all night each guest, their hands they were clappin' our little group of six has stayed in the staunton area many times, but this was our first stay at "Life Is Better At The Cabin". this cabin sure lived up to its name - spacious, beautiful, and comfy would be good adjectives to describe this cabin. we all enjoyed our bedrooms and bathrooms, nice comfy beds and great showers. the kitchen was gorgeous and was well stocked with dishes, it even included a nice little coffee bar. but our favorite was the HUGE screened-in back porch. we spent much of our time out there just enjoying each others' company and the solitude of being in the mountains. the owner even stopped by to see if everything was okay and to let us know where his herd of yaks was located. this cabin is located super close to Staunton but in a remote setting. well decorated and super comfortable. would we recommend this cabin? yes, yes, a thousand times YES.

Great Family Stay
The cabin was perfect for our family of 6. It was exceptionally clean. The beds and pillows comfy and everyone rested well. The location is tucked away and private. At the same time, you're within 10 mins of downtown Staunton and only 25 min drive to Humpback Rocks. Owners were very responsive and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. The internet at the cabin worked well for an online class. Make sure to bring extra shoes if you plan to play in the creek, it's very muddy. The screened in porch was amazing, keeping the bugs out but able to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Overall, great stay and hope to return at some point in time.

You should absolutely stay here!
Fantastic location - this will undoubtedly be a top stay in the Staunton area. - This location is the definition of tranquil. Beautiful stay located off-road, near a creek, surrounded by trees. Screened in porch makes for peaceful mornings/evenings when you just want to enjoy the peace and quiet. - The property is only 10-11 minutes from downtown Staunton. Pretty simple and easy drive to and from. - The property feels safe. You are off-road a little and in a good area. - Clean - You can tell the owners put a lot into the cabin. The bathrooms and showers are really nice. Everything feels spacious. Can comfortably fit 3-4 pairs (The downstairs, in my opinion, is the best room for a couple with young kids). All in all, this a wonderful location that you should definitely consider if you are wanting to visit this region!
