"I had booked a room for the wrong night but reception staff were very efficient and sorted this out very promptly. Our room was so cosy with chalet style decor, refreshments and good quality bathroom products. The bed was King size and really comfortable. The room was warm and quiet. We had dinner there but were disappointed. Service at the bar was slow, menu offerings standard, and the food was served lukewarm. Such a shame! Will definitely come back for the accommodation!"

"this was our 3rd time visiting & we are still going to come back again. its an old building with en suite bedrooms. rooms are comfortable, location is right on the harbourside. food is very good & breakfast is very good too. staff are out of this world. I wouldn't recommend for people with walking disabilities or are in a wheelchair. dogs are welcomed at this property. Laura & Kennedy are the names of 2 of the staff I can remember at the moment but the others are very good too. "

"The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was very good. Top tip: sit on the green by the river with takeaway fish and chips and a drink. Lovely. The rooms are a little basic but fine. Location is quiet with lots of great walks around the area. Free parking next to the pub. "

"If you are looking to stay in a traditional English Pub, this is the place. Cozy rooms with great washroom facilities. Very clean and comfortable beds. "Great find, extensive car park, very comfortable room with everything you need and a lovely touch was a decanter with a little sherry in for a pre dinner tipple. Food was good with an extensive menu and friendly helpful staff. All in all a great 2 night stay in this lovely hotel. Ideally situated for Eden project visit, would definitely recommend."
