Located in the charming and historic Rockwood neighborhood on Spokane's historic South Hill, this beautiful and extremely comfortable 2 bedroom basement apartment will have you in a state of relaxation and peace. The patio is all yours and features a gas grill, hot tub and even has cooling misters on hot summer days. The driveway is all yours as well and the zen backyard is gated (with lock). Owner occupied (upstairs).
Kitchenette is equipped with full-sized fridge/freezer, airfryer/toaster, two-burner hot plate, microwave, reverse osmosis water, coffee maker, electric tea kettle and sink. Also provided are coffee, cream, teas, sugar, stevia, honey, and fridge has butter, jams and jellies, and cream cheese. Of course, dishes, cookware, utensils, a few spices and spray oil etc., are all provided. The unit does not yet have a stove.
Four-piece bathroom is stocked with hand-wash, shampoo & conditioner, bodywash, facial wash, lotion, and plenty of towels and toilet paper.
32" smart TV is features Netflix, HULU and Amazon Prime Video and more.
Riverfront Park (site of the 1974 World's Fair) is, of course, a must see. Such a beautiful place to walk (or jog). There is the beautiful antique Carousel, the gorgeously newly restored Pavillion, (which lights up at night), the Skyride (rated one of the top 12 scenic cable rides in the world), which takes you over the Spokane River/falls. In the winter, there is a lively ice-skating ribbon. So much fun!!
And you can not come to Spokane without visiting the swanky Davenport or the legendary Frank's Diner (an old rail car). Unit has a collection of menus from my favorite local restaurants. If you're planning something very special, I recommend booking ahead at the Wild Sage. Amazing.
And did you know that Spokane is rated #11 for best coffee in the US? The Kitchen Engine, the Rocket Bakery, Thomas Hammer, and Atticus (which as the best gift shop EVER), are a few favorites. And if you visit Auntie's Bookstore (also legendary) make sure to go to The Pottery Store in the back. It's actually an art co-op that has been in Spokane for over 40 years and has much more than just pottery. The artists work the store and are always happy to visit. Who knew Spokane had so many talented artists?
If you're interested in a nice day hike, Bowl and Pitcher in Riverside Park is a local favorite. There is a beautiful suspension bridge that is especially fun to cross in the spring when the water is high. (Note... RiverFRONT Park and RiverSIDE Park are 2 different parks.)
Because I am so close to the hospitals (especially Sacred Heart Hospital) I get have a lot of guests that are here temporarily working or are here with friends or family members who are getting medical care. Either way, this place is quiet and nurturing. A wonderful place to rest after a difficult shift at work or a stressful situation with a sick loved-one.
No matter the reason for your visit, I will do everything in my power to make your stay comfortable and easy.
Please note that this unit is not suitable for parties, nor are they allowed. A few friends on the patio is fine but the hot tub is for guests only.
