"We had a great stay. It's a beautiful modern cabin, and the grounds are beautiful. We hit some unfortunate wet/hot/humid weather for our stay, but would definitely do it again!"

"What a wonderful place to spend with the kids!!! We enjoyed fishing, exploring, bon fires, and then more fishing. The trout stream is a great place to take the kids because they can easily catch fish after fish. When we weren’t fishing we drove into Decorah to see the local sights. The camper was like home away from home. Very cozy, very clean, well stocked, and the owner left good instructions so we knew how to work everything. We enjoyed it so much our friends booked a stay for their family!!"

"The house/cabin had just what we needed! Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and peaceful surroundings. Kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub, making smores in the firepit, and fishing the creek. Pond was heavier on the algae side to effectively fish, but our own pond at home gets that way sometimes and its just part of nature. :)"

"Rooms are very attractive and clean. Coffee is excellent as are breakfast. I was bothered at first they didn't make beds and pick up towels. We stayed only 2 nights and i wasn't aware of the policy. We had plenty of towels so not a problem. Very quiet. "

"After having this stay booked for 3 months in advance and calling the hotel to confirm our stay and then find out the hotel can't find anything. After being on the phone for 30 minutes to find out what happened and dealing with the hotel manager our stay turned out good. After getting checked into our room the room wasn't ready like I was told from the front desk. When I called and talked to the hotel 3 days prior to the stay I was told that everything would be taken care of before checking in and it wasn't. We had to go down and get the roller way and bedding ourselves and the other things that I was told that would be taken care before the stay. Not a bad place to stay but the management and staff need to be on the same page also housekeeping. For the 3 days that we stayed we had to go down and get towels and other things all that was done was the garbage was empty and the floor was clean. No towels and garbage bags replaced like they should. My family have stayed at this hotel multiple times before and this is the first time ever we had to get everything from the front desk when housekeeping is there doing all the other rooms. "

" The hotel is not fancy but affordable and CLEAN. It's simple and had a free breakfast that included a variety of options: fresh fruit, hot egg & biscuit sandwiches, boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee & juices. "Welcome" baked chocolate chip cookies upon arrival at check in desk. We appreciated the small-town hotel staff ladies that made check in/out so easy. The bed was comfortable & sheets were clean and soft. Mini frig in the room. It appeared our room had recent renovations: *new bathroom floor, toilet, shower; *carpet in room. Complaints (tolerable for us): *bathroom ceiling vent was annoyingly loud rattle; *pillows need replaced; *no USB port available; *walls a little thin (heard street traffic splashing from cars & clear conversations from hallway). If you want an affordable, clean place to rest your head, this hotel is quite acceptable to book. "
