"I had a wonderful week in the heart of Gaslamp. The staff was really kind and provided good service. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, however it could do with a couple of protein options. The location of the hostel is perfect for exploring most of the iconic parts of the city. I hope to be back once again!"

"My only complaint is that I didn’t stay longer! Fantastic, helpful, friendly staff. The property is well cared for both inside and out, and kept very clean. I’m a 70 year old woman traveling by myself, arrived by train, and this hostel is just across the tracks. I was given a beautiful little private room - which was perfect for 1 but would also be suitable for 2 if you don’t mind sharing a full size bed! The shared bathroom was great, spacious and clean. I felt very safe both day and night....

"Everyone especially the Manager was beyond helpful and very hospitable. Everything that one could ask or need was available and or not very far away. Extremely clean and cool place. Convenient ×1000"

"Everything was good except that the bathroom situation wasn’t the best experience. One bathroom for to many occupants are not the best. Of course you get what you paid for. Everything else was good."

"I enjoyed my stay at RK Hostel. Pleasant friendly staff. Affordable prices. It was nice quite and very peaceful. The room that I was in had beautiful paintings with good colour scheme. I enjoyed the fresh night breeze and opened windows. I look forward to staying again! Good job staff!"

"The chocolat chip pancakes peanut butter in the morning were a real treat. Old fashioned almost wild west decor. Nice hangout lounge. Good wifi. Bathroom facilities minimal. One night staff member seemed to have personal problems, made me uncomfortable. Daytime staff friendly and helpful. Excellent location."

"I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. "This was a good hotel. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, shower pressure was good, everything worked, there was adequate (free) parking, and there was nice outdoor space with two pools and firepits with chairs around them for cool nights.
