"A gorgeous resort with incredible views over the Bay and a lively swimming pool. Our room was amazing and terrace on the top floor was awesome. I felt like I was on a second honeymoon. "

"Our stay at the Mai Tai Polynesia was amazing. There were no over the water bungalows available online when we booked a reservations but something opened up when we got there and Julia assisted us with upgrading. She was very kind and so helpful. It was so worth it. There are coral reefs right below the bungalows and we were able to snorkel right from our deck. The customer service was amazing. The rooms are large. The food is good. They have free kayaking which we took advantage of and there...

"Great views from our balcony and the pool and grounds were beautiful! It was a quick taxi ride (or longer walk) into town, and there is a shopping center conveniently located across the street. We also really enjoyed the live music in the evenings."

"Such a great place to stay for an overnight between our flight and island hopping. The staff and host were so accommodating and the breakfast was absolutely spectacular! Highly recommend for a comfortable night’s stay. The little resident cat was so sweet and affectionate and made our stay so much happier. "

"I had a lay over stop on my way to New Zealand, and the hotel was a nice stay, The staff was nice and friendly and my dinner was good. I didn’t have a change to walk around the ground because it was a storm off and on during my stay. But they did provide large Umbrella to move around the area. "

"Our room had no place to hang clothes and yet there was a large space where a tub used to be. That would be perfect for a coat rack or even some thing on the wall where you can hang hangers. There was no lighting above the bathroom mirror. The girls at reception were very friendly and helpful."

"This is like a hillside garden paradise overlooking Teahupo’o and surrounding ocean. Staff is as accommodating as one can get. They are marvelous. The chef is a young man that cooks excellent meals. The bungalow was immaculately clean and one also feels living in nature. Like high quality glamping but perhaps better. The shampoo and shower gel is divine (Tiare)."

"Very helpful in allowing us early entry after an early morning arrival in Papeete. We were able to wait around the pool area, in the shade, until our room was ready, before the normal,11 am check in time. No problem either with a 5am check out."

"Everything was great, especially the staff. They helped us make dinner reservations, and recommendations on places to visit on the island. Everything was clean and comfortable. Our favorite part was being able to snorkel off of the dock. We saw hundreds of kinds of fish and coral."

"The hotel has bungalows and the restaurant is on the water. It is located directly on the beach in a very nice bay. The restaurant is very good but breakfast is too expensive for the food offered. You need a car to reach it from the airport or the harbor, and to move around the island. No public transportation and taxis are quite expensive."
