It all started when we were on our way. We received a text saying they were having issues with their key codes on the door and to use another code. When we got there, that code didn’t work. I made a call and, first of all, it was nearly impossible to get a live human on the phone. Once I did, you could tell the person was not in the US. It was freezing outside, we couldn’t get in, and he immediately asked me not to raise my voice.
When we finally got inside, it was cute. Dirty, but cute. Ant traps, fly traps all over. Little bugs like gnats, flies, and ants were everywhere. They allow pets and so there was dog hair everywhere, stuck to the walls, etc. The top step at the fourth floor was cracked.
But that wasn’t the worst part. On our last full day, the internet went out. We had 13 people in the house. No TV, no internet. I called Sea Scape Properties and was met with the most rude woman with attitude that I could imagine. She told me someone would call me back. Then I got the call from the woman who, again, was clearly not in the US. Not only did she laugh at me when I told her that this was a huge issue (Thanksgiving weekend = football) but it was an issue that the property owner created. It wasn’t just an area outage. The property owners made a change to the account which locked out the internet. We had to spend half a day dealing with Spectrum and some other company and troubleshooting the issue. Do you think they offered any compensation? No.
