Adjacent to the dining room is the kitchen that also has a dining area with seating for four-six. Very large kitchen has a stainless steel, french door refrigerator with two ice makers and water dispenser, 5 burner gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and garbage disposal. Home also has a utility room with front loading washer and dryer and a workbench/ski tuning bench (bring your own wax)

Three of the four bedrooms have heated mattress pads and all have new carpet. There is a queen size Aerobed stored in one of the upstairs bedroom closets which can be used in the living room if you need to. This adds sleeping for 2 more bringing the total to 10 people allowed to stay in the house.

Enjoy the flowers and hummingbirds that surround you as you sit on the front porch or backyard. Colorado fall colors
Amazing! We hit the right year to see eye-popping fall color. The Colorado Rockies always delivers with spectacular views that take your breath away. Our VRBO host was wonderful to work with and gave us lots of good suggestions of what to see and where to eat. We couldn’t be more pleased.

Great home
Very nice, well kept home. Was on a back street in Silverton, yet only two blocks to walk to the main area of town. Was VERY quiet both day and night. We all very much enjoyed the home. Every thing we needed was there. We were sitting on the front porch the first night there enjoying the scenery and quiet when a large black bear came strolling down the street. We all agreed that was pretty much the highlight of the whole week long trip!

Great stay in Silverton
Everything as described in the listing. Place was very clean and well equipped. Appreciated the large entryway for all of our gear and the ample seating in the living room. Great location in town, easy walk to main street but on a quieter street. Would definitely recommend.

Comfortable historic home that reminded us of “Grandma’s house”. Most interior doors will require the “honor system”. Great view from front porch and walking distance to main St

Silverton family stay
Cozie little house, it is an older house as it states. The kitchen is settled quite a bit and has a dip in it. There was a puddle of water that we cleaned every morning in front of the fridge coming from somewhere. All in all the kiddos enjoyed & the street is low of traffic

Great ski trip!
3 friends and I stayed at Patricia and Doug's house for 4 nights on a ski trip to Silverton and it was a perfect place to relax and relive the experiences of the day. Large and comfortable living room, a well equipped and large kitchen and a separate bedroom for each of us made it easy to eat and kit up at our own pace. 2 blocks from a brewery and what restaurants Silverton has to offer in the winter and super close to Silverton ski area for some of the best, gnarliest skiing on the continent. We got snowed in due to Molas and Red Mountain Passes being closed for avy control and Patricia was in constant touch with updates and was super helpful getting us out and then on home as soon as Molas Pass opened. Thanks Patricia, looking forward to coming back again!

Perfect for our business trip!
I rented this home for me and my employees for an estate sale we were liquidating in Silverton. It was a beautiful home with incredibly comfortable beds. The two dining tables were incredible, especially when we brought some work home. I am incredibly grateful Patricia and Doug were so accommodating. One thing I wish I would have known is the doors don't lock, and in some cases close shut. It would probably be just fine with a family, but it was definitely awkward with co-workers. Especially when it came to the restrooms. I wish we would have known to bring something heavy to "lock" the doors behind us, or even communicate it to my employees ahead of time. It is a historic house, so I am sure it is normal. Just something I wish I had prepared for. :) Overall, the home is very quiet and cozy. We had an amazing time. Thanks so much!!

A Charming Heritage House in a Charming Heritage Town
We were a group of 4 in town for an event & we had a lovely, comfortable stay in this 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom house. In particular, the kitchen was very well-equipped & had updated appliances. It was nice to have space for the four of us to gather, but also to have our own rooms when we wanted privacy & sleep. Three of the bedrooms & 1 of the bathrooms are upstairs. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and good storage space. We liked the character of the sloping ceilings. The 4th bedroom is on the main floor, close to the other bathroom. Besides this, there is a living room, a dining area, a large kitchen with a smaller table for quick meals & a back porch with a washer and dryer. There is a picnic table in the back yard & the front entry has benches & hooks. The rooms had lovely views & the location was good--very close to restaurants and shops, but off the main drag, which made for nice, quiet sleeps. My friends & I were happy with our stay & want to thank the owners for opening their comfortable rental home to us. The owners had great communication & were helpful & hospitable. There are a few reasons why I didn't give the place 5 stars. 1. The place needed some TLC. It's an old house, so the creaky floors and quirky doors are part of the charm. However, the furniture needs dusting, the kitchen floor needs washing & there are some repairs needed, such as replacing the door sweep on the back porch door. 2. Although the house is extremely well-equipped in some ways, it lacks a couple of basic amenities, such as shampoo & a blow-dryer. Considering that we needed to get dolled up for our event, this was an issue. Three of us had flown there, meaning we had limited space to bring items such as blow dryers or liquids like shampoo. This meant spending part of our time hunting for places to buy these. (Note: the hardware store at the other end of town is well-stocked with a variety of items, so this is the place to go if you need a blow dryer.) However, these are minor concerns. We enjoyed our stay & would definitely recommend this house.
