Independent Shirakawa hotels

"It was amazing, and we wished we had stayed longer in this hotel. It was like having your own little appartement right next to the station and the convenience store. Beds were comfy, and there was a microwave and washing machine in the room. Walking distance of the old street for which the town is famous."

"Hotel was more western in some ways than many we stayed at. Little things were strange such as the exposed plumbing under sink that was supposed to look fancy or shower head that sprayed almost horizontal and could not be adjusted for people of different heights. All the employees seemed more proficient at English than many other places, but they did not seem more helpful in anyway."

"The bed was comfortable. The facilities were as expected. It was very convenient to Kanazawa Castle, Kenrokuen and the Samurai District. Our room had no view; it looked out on industrial looking tanks. The welcome drinks and snacks could have been better quality."

"The hotel smells really good when you walk in. It’s spotless. I had booked a larger room meant for four and it was beautiful and quiet. They give you very nice amenities and the public bath is a great plus. I woke early and it was empty both mornings. The staff is helpful. The pajamas are nice. I would stay here again and rent the big room. If you are vegetarian there is no breakfast option. "
