"Checkin was easy. Snacks and kitchen area were nice. Nice touches like white noise machine, eye masks, etc were a really unexpected and nice touch. Our room was a bit cramped, and it would’ve been nice to have some plates and cutlery in the kitchen. The microwave was way too loud too. We felt like we were disturbing everyone, every time we used it. "

"Had a girls weekend & stayed in the top floor 2 bedroom suite. It was a perfect getaway, with ample room. The kitchen was great for a quick breakfast before heading out and the living room was great for watching a movie at night. Parking was provided behind the house, but we didn’t need to move the car after parking originally because everything was very walkable. "This was THE best place I have ever stayed. I was traveling with my four kiddos and husband and there was plenty of space for us. The free snacks and ice cream made the stay for them memorable. The building itself had been beautifully restored and the space is huge. There is a great quiet and picturesque place to read and a beautiful old library with a gorgeous pool table for some fun. "This was a beautiful, interesting place to stay. Quiet and gorgeous. Fun furniture and very cozy. I loved waking up to see the horses. It was super easy to get to VMI, maybe 10 minutes max. "

"This is an exceptional property! My wife and I spent a night here and had access to the living room where we hing out and played games and our cash and carter room was super comfortable, clean and we will be back! We took advantage of the i e maker AND restaurants/ Main Street was a very short walk away on Lurays river walk. We did the entire walk with our dog and visited a few bakeries who were true artisans! LOVED OUR VISIT!!!"

"Beautiful little gem. PM had good communication,there was a little issue with the front door code when we got there, but I messaged them and they promptly responded with a correct code. Only real issue was the place was a little "dirty". Looked like whoever cleaned did not dust, or sweep (dead crickets, broken glass near toilet in bathroom), or wipe down the nite stand (rings from past cups). With a 45 cleaning fee, I'd expect the place to be a little more clean. For me personally I would prefer...

"Convenient location in Winchester though the property made it feel like you are in the country. Check in time must be precise as the owner needs to explain a couple things and let you in. This was good as my husband had a couple questions. Toaster oven was missing its tray so it was not easy to use the appliance. Coffee maker and refrigerator work great, bathroom facilities work. The house is in great condition and a neat place to stay."
