"This was a nice property for our stay. We brought a paddle board and kayak and it was perfect on Wednesday and Thursday as it was very calm on the lake. There was a little more wake from boats on Friday and Saturday. It was nice that the Toilet room was separate from the shower room, as we had 6 people staying on Friday and Saturday night. "We had everything we needed and I loved coffee in the morning with the frogs. They were loud.Watching the swans, muskrats and other wild life and the beautiful light was the best. We were close to the beaches at gun lake and fished at the cottage. It was exciting to hear loons in lower Michigan."

"This is a beautiful cabin, only a few steps away from the dock or lake. Shallow and clear water with lots of small fish. Our kids swim the whole time right off the dock. The rental comes with kayaks and different floats for the whole family. Owners are next door and met us the first day. Very friendly people, private and not intrusive at all, although they are next door. We felt safe and the whole family enjoyed it. Highly recommend!!!"

On a peaceful lake and had all the amenities: a sandy beach, toys for the kids, paddle boat, kayaks, etc. We loved hanging outside on the deck and relaxing in the swing while watching our kids play. The updated interior made it such a comfortable and peaceful stay. It’s not a big house, but the owners have maximized the space in the perfect way. "We rented this property to surprise my parents and celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. It was a beautiful spacious house. Only downside was we thought that it was directly on the water but it’s across the street. Which still was fine and such a beautiful breeze with great views however my husband was not able to get on the dock due to the rocks and steps. My husband is in a wheelchair. That was a surprise but still was fine."

"We absolutely loved our stay! We spent a lot of time on the dock fishing and on the peddle boat fishing. We went out on the peddle boat / pontoon boat to go swimming as well. You wouldn't want to swim right off the dock. It's shallow and has lots of lily pads....but that's what makes it great for fishing and that's what we were more interested in. "We had a wonderful time at this property. It was nicely updated with a beautiful cedar 3 season room. We brought our boat and fished Swan Lake, along with two other nearby lakes. It did not disappoint. Bass, bluegill, northern pike were some of the ones we caught. We plan to visit again and would rent this property! We were told that we would be sharing the water toys however I wasn't expecting to share the small front yard with the house that sits behind this cottage. The front yard is super small and it was awkward with having strangers literally sitting next to you. Not much privacy."

"Perfect house for anyone who wants to stay on Gun Lake, but would like a little more quiet atmosphere when not on the main lake. This updated, adorable lake house sits on one of the channels, which provide quick access to the main lake. We were able to pull our boat right up to the dock and have access to it all weekend. "Very relaxing stay, loved our time on the deck. There was very little boat traffic on the lake and usually Pontoon boats. House shopping is very stressful so being able to come back to the cottage and relax by the water was a great way to spend the evening. Thanks Gary and hope to be back this fall."
