Fantastic View

Weekend getaway
This cabin is a couples dream getaway. Beautiful views, wood burning fireplace, hot tub, and comfy bed!! Oh and a 2 headed shower! Talkin about rednecks dream ahhh!! Cabin was very clean and stocked! 10/10 recommend!

Perfect getaway for 2!
Don’t let the road up scare you, a few times up and down then it’s a breeze! We arrived and the code didn’t work, we called Lee and within seconds we were in! Loved the cozy cabin and that view is to die for! The hot tub on the deck was great after a long day of hiking. Perfect stay in the perfect location, thank you Lee for sharing your cabin with us!!!

Wonderful cabin
We throughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The view was stunning and the cabin itself was wonderful. My only issue was that the listing itself did not do justice to the incline of the road leading to the cabin. It was a little scary driving up there but other than that the cabin was exceptional.

We had a great time. And the cabin could not have been perfect. The drive up however....was a little sketchy but the view was worth it. Even had a couple bears visit. Loved our stay and would definitely recommend.

Perfect long weekend getaway. The cabin was very clean. The hot tub was turned on so it warmed up by the time we arrived. The view is amazing! The drive up the mountain was a little scary at first, but got easier. Lee was very responsive when I asked for recommendations and even let us check in a couple hours early. If we travel back to TN again, we will definitely stay here if it’s available.

Not for the faint at heart when it comes to heights
First off, the day we got there we went to grill and to our surprise the propane tank was completely empty. I called to let them know and no one showed up till around 9 at night with a new tank. We had all this food to grill and we had to go out and spend 50.00 for dinner that night. Second, if you are afraid of heights and one lane narrow roads and hair pin turns going straight up, this is not the cabin for you. Third, the hot tub jets need service, the pressure is no where near where it should be. Fourth, please replace that mattress on the bed, the worst mattress ever, lost many nights of sleep do to how uncomfortable it is. New bedroom furniture is also another suggestion. You can see the bed is falling apart. Fifth, the living room TV has issues. It seems you have the cords stretched so much that we kept losing the picture and would have to tighten up the connections to get the TV back on. Was very annoying when you are watching TV. Sixth, the cleaning service needs to do a better job on their cleaning, we saw so many cob webs throughout the cabin. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you would need to cook. The shower was a major plus with how oversized it is. I was so looking forward to an awesome vacation since I was sick last year when we were in Gatlinburg and unfortunately I did not have a good experience with this cabin. Also, new kitchen appliances are another suggestion for you.

Let down this time.....
Things stated off ok but when we had problems with getting the cable to work on the tv, we emailed the contract person and they said they would send someone out to fix it. That never happened. We ended up using our personal Netflix account and Paramount account to watch TV and get local news and weather while we were there. The rocking chairs on the balcony were to the point of falling apart and unusable. Good thing we brought our own chairs to sit in. What ever cleaning company that cleans the property needs to step up their game and learn how to clean. The windows were filthy and had spots all over them. This was our second time staying at this property, and we have decided that we will not stay here again.

Up, up, up and away!
The cabin is a perfect stay for two adults with a AWD OR 4WD vehicle. To get the great view, you have to go up a steep, one lane road. We had to put our old Jeep in 4 low to climb the road. Once there, you’ll reverse into the parking space. To leave, you’ll reverse down to a small spot that allows you to turn around. I write all these details to help prepare drivers. The cabin has a nice deck that is secured with a gate to prevent critters. The swing was a great place to relax and look at the view. Hot tub was clean and nice to have for our soar muscles at the end of the day. Inside, the kitchen was stocked with basic tools. If you plan on fixing many meals, bring any special kitchen equipment with you. Complementary wine and popcorn were a nice gesture. Owner was accommodating and pleasant. Over all a nice stay and we would book again.

Everything was great. Fantastic views, clean, little touches making you feel welcome. One downfall...the climb up the mountain is super steep and difficult to traverse. Just be prepared for that. Otherwise it's amazing!

Small things.
There were a couple small things, which I usually overlook, but they became a problem. The hot tub was dirty. We had to clean it ourselves just to get into it.The 2nd night, the smoke detectors went off just before 5am. It took is 45min to get them to stop. No one answered the 24/7 # that we were given to call. The place is so beautiful, and the view is nice, but these things took away from the reasons we were visiting in the first place.

The Eagle's Nest is the Best
Loved the views, the swing on the porch, the cabin overall. Would have loved to have a washer and dryer in cabin and the hot tub jets were not very strong, may need serviced. Was told there would be a bottle of wine but there was not however, that was fine. Overall, highly recommend this cabin and Lee the owner was helpful when our GPS told us the wrong cabin. Thanks, Lee!
