Overall this was an okay stay. We were completely unaware of the type of road we were in for to get to the house. It was quite an experience (narrow with tight switch back and significant grades to go up and down). We've stayed in a lot of mountains and never had a road like that.
Pros:
*amazing view
*beds were pretty comfortable
*hot tub was hot
*overall clean
Cons:
*10+ degree temp difference from first floor and 2nd floor (people upstairs were sweating at night) and the upstairs vents are half covered by beams.
*primary vent working was in downstairs bathroom right next to the toilet while the one in bedroom barely let out any air (yes it was open)
*pans still had food on them. Had to clean before using
*minimum offered in terms of towels, toilet paper, paper towels.
*only a dresser available in master bedroom. Closet was locked so couldn't hang up any clothes if we wanted to.
*lack of places to hang towels, clothes, jackets, etc
*interrupted 2 different days (one at 9 am) for weedeating. Had no idea that was happening.
*our last full day there was a large amount of lumber dropped on the side of the road, assuming for deck work, by the house making leaving nearly impossible. We had a mini van, had it been any bigger we wouldn't have been able to leave. Zero communication about that, kids just stumbled across it.
We've stayed all over the country in vrbo houses over the last 10 years so we aren't new to the game. Overall would rate it a 6/10
