"Really lovely place to stay. Central to all the sights to see in Ronda. Very nice lady greeted us at reception and showed us to our room. The staff had WhatsApped me a couple of days beforehand asking what time I’d arrive. Really useful to have the number as the reception isn’t manned 24 hours. "Pasamos un fin de semana donde nos coincidió con el belén viviente y recomiendo visitar el pueblo, estaba súper bonito y puedes ir andando desde la casa, quizás la subida es algo más cansada por la cuesta pero igualmente se hace, en la casa lo único que ecahmos de menos es algo más de calefacción, excepto la chimenea del salón, en el resto de habitaciones se pasa frio en invierno, hay una chimenea en el salón de arriba pero no se podía poner. El lugar nos encantó, sin duda para repetir"

"There was seven in our party and We stayed for 10 fantastic days. The outside space and pool area are lovely and have multiple seating areas, the pool area did not have lights but this allowed for some impressive star gazing and did not stop us using the pool until late into the evening. "We stayed in the Casita de madera for two months from January to March, i.e. during some of the coldest months of the year. The open fireplace contributes a lot to the cosiness factor but as a heating mechanism is not that efficient, so very glad there was also an electric radiator, which in the coldest weeks was struggling to keep us warm. "We thoroughly enjoyed our week in El Gastor. The house was as pictured, though unfortunately it was unseasonably cold so we could not use the pool. Instead, we got to enjoy a fire most nights! The view across the valley is gorgeous, and the mountain peak just behind the house is also beautiful. "We would definitely stay here again. We found most of the previous reviews were pretty accurate. If you have a small enough car, you can drive to apartment, but it is not for the faint of heart. Otherwise it’s a simple 5 min walk (or less). The pool and the views were amazing. We found the town to be very nice without a lot of visitor traffic but good food and a few small stores. Nice mirador worth the 20 min walk. We did it for sunrise. The care taker was VERY helpful and responsive. "
