Fabulous 4 Bedroom 4 Bath Home Former Monk Winery WOW!!!
Located inside the legendary Beaune, France wine region and just minutes from the old town of Beaune, sits this centuries old, former Monk Winery that has been converted into a 4 Bd/4 Bath luxury home. The owner/hosts were incredible to work with, easy to communicate with and very friendly. The property is stunning. The basement is literally a cave that is spectacular. 3 of the bedrooms have their one en-suite complete bath, one of the bedrooms has a shower ensuite, but their toilet is across the hall. 3 King beds and 1 queen bed that has an extra sofa sleeper. The kitchen was well equiped, they offer washing machine and dryer as well as dishwasher. We were there in November so we really enjoyed the fireplace. I HIGHLY recommend this place and hope to stay here again!

Wonderful Property
My family and I had a wonderful experience at this property. It was as represented. Jean greeted us upon our arrival and was a fantastic host who was willing to answer our questions and even build fires in the fireplace for us! We had a lovely meal downstairs in the cave, and I would recommend adding that to your rental. The location of this property was perfect. It was just a few minutes from Beaune located in a small French village. A local bakery was next door on the left and a small grocery store on the right with a butcher across the street. We spent an evening dining at Le Soleil Savigny just down the street and loved the experience with sharing small portions of several dishes…the wine was excellent! We were at the property for 3 nights and would go back again.

Top Vacation Rental
Now I understand why this home gets so many fabulous reviews. The rental far exceeds the pictures on VRBO and is perhaps one of our favorite rentals ever. We couldn't believe how grand it was when the massive gates opened. It feels like a manor with all the modern amenities. The managers have wonderfully equipped the home with everything you might need and they were helpful before and during our stay. Three of the bedrooms are on one end of the home and the master is on the other side of the house. All rooms are lovely. There is also a wine cellar where you can purchase wine via an honor system. In terms of location, the town of Savigny les Beaune is quaint and lively. There are several good restaurants, such as Le Wine-Not (avoid Le Soleil-expensive, slow, and we left hungry and confused). Finally, the town is right on the bike path. I highly recommend having bikes delivered to the home. Be prepared to hone your parking skills. We had a VW wagon and we put on quite a show every time we had to back the car into the driveway.

Better than the photos
A very spacious house, generous yard, private pool, excellent location. Plenty of room for 6 adults to spread out comfortably. Charming village - good food and great wines. Marie-Anne and Jean Pierre were available but inconspicuous. They made great suggestions for venues and experiences to enrich our stay. A terrific week.

Wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful time at this house! Rented bikes and had them dropped at the house which was very convenient, but would also recommend potentially renting a car (or at least grabbing e-bikes!) for ease of adventuring around. The Pinot Noir wine bar across from the house was the perfect spot for a snack and a drink, and we loved our dinner at Wine Not. Marie-Anne was a wonderful host!

Fantastic spot to stay in Burgundy
The property is well kept, clean, really big and very comfortable. We (5 adults) stayed for a week in July and this house is the perfect spot from which to explore the area. 5 minutes to Beaune, 30 to Dijon and an easy drive to the wineries and villages in Burgundy. The house is fully equipped if you want to stay in and a short walk to several really good restaurants. The town has got some amenities but in late July many of these were closed for holidays. The pool is fabulous, the beds are comfortable and the space is huge so lots of room to spread out. The owners Jean Pierre and Marie Anne are close by and super helpful with recommendations and advice and any help needed. We will absolutely stay again if we’re back in the area. Highly recommended.

Wine and Dine through Burgundy
Perfect location with everything you need within walking distance, in the heart of Burgundy with the vines and wines at your fingertips. We were a party of four couples who love wine and wanted to explore Burgundy. Restaurants Le Soleil, Le 428 and Wine Not are all great little restaurants. We did the Grand Cru Wine southern route on bikes and then toured with a wonderful guide recommended by our host., Kim Gagne of Journeys in Wine. Our guide was recommended by our host, Marie-Anne. A fabulous trip with good friends. Our hosts Marie-Anne and Jean Pierre were always available to answer and provide us with answers to all our questions, available at a moments notice and helped us connect with all services including bike rentals.

We had a wonderful three weeks with our family in Savigny-les-Beaune at La Cuverie! The walled garden, pool, fireplace and comfortable rooms were really lovely. We all loved this beautiful Cuverie in Burgundy. The house is spacious, comfortable and stylish. It is really special with a great pool and garden. It is also very private while being in the heart of the village. We also appreciated the proximity to great food shops. Marie-Anne and Jean- Pierre we’re friendly and helpful at every stage. Perfect for a group vacation in Burgundy
We were a group of four couples most of whom had known each other for 50 years and were getting back together in Burgundy. Marie-Anne's house was perfect for us in all respects. The house is a nicely converted old winery. The old wine "cave" is still there below the house and available for a atmospheric dinner, although we did not do that this time. Each couple had their own bedroom and bath. There is a large "great room" space with a seating area large enough for all of us, a long table for meals together, and a very large and spacious kitchen with enough room for three or four people to work at the same time. One of the most important features for us is that the house is enclosed by a wall with an automatic gate. Our three cars could easily fit inside so that parking was not an issue. Savigny-Les Beaune is a nice little village. A small food store and a bakery are within 50 yards. It is only about a 6 minute drive from Beaune, which is a really charming small town with interesting historical sights and great shopping. Be sure to go to the Saturday maket; it is amazing. The most famous Burgundy vineyards are close to the north and the south. Dijon is easily accessible in about 30 minutes by the autoroute. It was a great vacation. If you have not been to Burgundy, you should plan to go immediately, and you should certainly rent Marie-Anne's house as your base.

Great village house!
We rented this house from Marie-Anne and her brother Jean-Pierre for 5 nights late April, early May. It was perfect for our family of 7 adults. All 4 spacious bedrooms had private baths including hairdryers and towel warmers. Living area included fireplace, large table for 10 and well equipped kitchen. Laundry room was also nice to have. It was too cold to use the pool - we would love to return in warmer months. Beautiful yard enclosed in stone walls with an electronic gate to exit to narrow streets. Within steps there is a grocery store, butcher and 2 (!) charming boulangeries. ATM and pharmacie very close as well. Savigny has a number of fine wineries that provide tastings and tours. Incredible! We ate at a local restaurant Le Morgan where the host charmed us with his one man show of serving and cooking. We rented very nice hybrid bikes from Bourgognes Randonnées who delivered them right to our courtyard. We could bike to 2 different wine routes right from our front door. The south loop was 29 km one way through rolling vineyard terrain on a car free path. Beaune is 6km away and enjoyed some meals there. We also cooked in one night and visited Auberge St. Martin in Bouilland just 10k away. Also enjoyed a great hike in the cliffs nearby. House has a beautiful wine cellar where Marie-Anne arranged a delicious catered dinner by candlelight one night! Thank you for the hospitality!

Wonderful stay in Savigny-les-Beaune
We were seven adults sharing a very spacious, well-appointed modern home constructed within an 18th century building with a 14th century cellar included. Each of the four bedrooms had its own dedicated bathroom with only one not being en suite but just across the hall. A fully equipped kitchen allowed us to do breakfasts and even two evening meals. The grounds were lovely as well, all situated within a gated wall in the heart of the village. We wish it has been earlier in the season so we could have also enjoyed the pool. The owners were very helpful and responsive to questions. The small village of Savigny-les-Beaune is very picturesque and a boulangerie and a small market were located just steps away. Also, there were several small restaurants in the village although it's important to determine which days which restaurants are open as we discovered. We would highly recommend this home to others seeking modern amenities in a historic home in a small quaint village in Burgundy.

We would go again!
The first question that I always ask myself about a restaurant , hotel or gite is “Would I go back?” The answer in this case is an unequivocal yes. Before going the help from Marie-Anne was excellent, particularly in contacting and arranging a taxi for a lunch on the day after our arrival when I had been experiencing problems doing so at a distance. We were a couple of hours late in arriving from Geneva due to luggage issues and Jean-Pierre was very accommodating. He took the drama out of our crisis! He showed us around fully and pointed out key shops etc, making us very quickly feel at home. The facilities included everything we would expect and four bedrooms, four bathrooms and four toilets work well for retired people. High ceilings give it a very spacious feel. One of our party has mobility issues and having everything on one floor made it ideal. The pool was a good size and well looked after. Our only complaint was that we couldn’t stay longer, but that was our fault! This was my seventh visit to the Beaune area in the last nine years and one of the top properties that we have stayed in. Truly Beautiful...
This truly is an amazing house, tastefully decorated and centrally appointed in the spectacular region of Burgundy!! My family and I spent a wonderful week here (5 adults), large enough to have the private space you need whilst being super social with a huge open plan living/dining/kitchen. The village of Savigny Les Beaune is beautiful, quiet and safe. It has a butcher, bakers, convenience store and a couple of wonderful restaurants which we used on more than one occasion, although I have to say we cooked more than we expected due to the fabulous kitchen, we really did fall in love with the place!! The owners organised a private chef (thank you so much Josette) to cook for us, what a treat. Super lady, super food!! On our evening walks we could hear a pin drop save for the odd car passing through. Marie-Anne and Jean-Pierre are marvellous hosts providing everything necessary for a very comfortable stay. Thank you both so much for your hospitality, I simply can't say enough good things about the house and the owners. Book it now and enjoy!

Nice and quietly village, though it has a small marked, a butcher, 2 bakeries, and 3 restaurants and of course places to taste wine. The house, or should we call it wineyaerd, is huge with a lots of space, nice swimming pool and garden, the house is equipped with everything and you have your own wine cellar and not far away all the famous wine areas, where you can taste and buy the fantastic Bourgogne wines Its’s expensive, but everything is that in France.
