Excellent location for restaurants and shopping. The river walk is a stones throw. The hotel was clean and the staff was complimentary. I would absolutely recommend staying if you’re in walking shape. Very convenient location. The only quarrel I had was the parking. It’s valet only, which you can expect at most downtown locations as space is limited. However, for $45/night, it would’ve been nice to have more than one valet working at once. The poor gentleman that was working valet by himself each day, was run ragged and drowning trying to keep up with all the vehicles coming and going. It took 20 minutes to get our vehicle out of the garage on two occasions. Not a dealbreaker but definitely tests one’s patience. I certainly don’t blame the valet. He’s only one man and was doing his best. But the hotel should provide two valets, at least for those busy weekend days. That guy was working his tail off and needed some help. Otherwise, great stay for my family with two young kids.

This place is a disaster. We were uninformed of an extra $45 mandatory charge for valet service, which only left the option of parking on the street and paying per hour. The staff was incredibly rude about this. The following morning the elevator got stuck with two people in it for nearly 45 minutes. The staff acted nonchalant like it was no big deal. We had to call the fire department to actually get something done. I absolutely wish we had stayed somewhere else, and I can assure you that when I return, I definitely will.

Bad experience. No parking options, Vallet takes very long to take your car, regardless of sending message beforehand. Staff on the night are awesome, in the morning not so much. Gym smells very bad. Bathroom doesn't isolate the bath, so you have a lake in the bathroom by the end of each shower. All small things that bother, but too many at the same time.

Overall, clean facility. Great breakfast and friendly staff. We had two rooms. The one room had a refrigerator which did not work properly. The second room had a door which would not lock. In the evening, we had to move five people into another room, which was much smaller and only rated for four people, rather than the suite we had paid for.

We arrived at 3:40 for a 4:00 check-in and was told we could not check in early and would not be able to check in at 4:00 and didn’t know when the room would be ready. We made the reservation more than 1 month prior and after an 8 hr drive we were not happy. The staff didn’t seem too sympathetic and we had no other choice other than to seek other accommodations which we ended up outside of Savannah proper. I told the staff we were cancelling and hopefully we will not be charged for the room we never got.

The hotel was generally good. The location was convenient, and the room was clean and tidy. However, the front desk service was very poor, especially from a female staff member when I checked in. I even felt racially discriminated against. I arrived at the hotel on March 9th at 4:20 PM and lined up to check in. I greeted this woman, but she had a serious expression and didn't respond. She asked for my information in a mechanical way, and I gave her my last name. She then told me my room wasn't ready yet and would take at least another hour, so I left and came back an hour later. When I met her again, she was still very cold. She processed my check-in, and after I swiped my credit card, she handed me the room key and immediately answered a phone call, ignoring me as if she had finished helping me. I felt very offended and disrespected. Throughout the process, she didn't tell me where my room was located, which floor facilities like the gym or meeting rooms were on, or even mention that breakfast was included with my room. She didn't provide any information about breakfast time or location. When I went back to ask about breakfast, I saw her smiling and providing detailed information about the hotel to a white woman. At that moment, I felt I was being racially discriminated against.
