"We enjoyed the stay very much. The only two complaints I have are, the toilet is little outdated hard to flush and The tower hanger was broken. Breakfast was amazing especially the traditional Scottish breakfast. "

"The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable but the bathroom was a little dirty around the bath taps the paint on the door frame needed to be repainted and it had the odd mark on the carpet."

"Excellent customer service and very lovely hotel. Totally enjoyed my stay. It was very relaxing and I highly recommend. Got upgraded to a vista room and had a lovely view of Princes street. Even though I extended my stay to a smaller room, I was still allowed to stay in the same upgraded room for the rest of my stay and given a discount! Complimentary minibar in the room with drinks and snacks topped up everyday. Thanks for a very lovely stay. Highly recommend"

"Holiday inn express is quite a constantly good hotel chain.Room was not quite as comfy as usual due to lack of sofa,have stayed in several different holiday inn express always booking a double room Glasgow,aberdeen, edinburgh airport all with sofas.Breakfast on day one was good but on day two not so good some food was cold and the rolls were a bit stale. Overall still good value for money and very comfy beds."

"The scenery is wonderful, the medival castle transport you back in time. Very nice, definitely recommended, you won't regret it. The staff and service are very good too, rooms are clean. Very relaxing to spend a few days away from reality."

"Overall good place to stay. It’s close to public transport. My only concern is the lightning in the room is a bit dark and hurt my eyes. There will be a few stairs if your room is located at the other end of the hall way (further side from the lift). Room is warm and bed is comfy. "
