"Amazing place. We were greeted by the super-friendly staff even before we entered the hotel. We were looking with our kids at their cows in the pasture, and the owner(?) came out and gave our kids food to feed the cows. It was a great start, and it only got better from there. The room was very spacious and clean, the food was amazing, and the location is perfect for hiking in the area. It was simply a wonderful experience. "

The host Davide is kind and very helpful - he suggested some gorgeous hikes in the area and told us about an ongoing local festival. The breakfast was delicious and fueled us for the day. Additionally, the location is walking distance to everywhere in town and the local free bus. Would absolutely stay here again."

"Cogne is simply beautiful. Small enough to be charming, big enough to stay busy and entertained. The Chateau Royal was a great home base. Centrally located, comfortable and we'll equipped. We originally booked two nights but added two more as it was such a great village with so much to do. We hiked, fished, rafted and paraglided plus catching some of the abundant castles and forts in the Sister Valley). This one is a do-over (we'll be back:-)."

"The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean as are all of the public areas. Very attentive and polite staff throughout our stay in all areas of the hotel. Breakfast was extensive with extras available from the kitchen. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was fabulous. The bar very comfortable and welcoming.
