We chose Santa Pola at random as an "unwind" stop on our Spain vacation. Katja's place was practically perfect for our needs. Small town ambience, with big Alicante nearby. The apartment is on the top floor of a two-story building on the crest of ridge, so the views are excellent. The area is walkable, and there is ample parking both on the street and within the gated community. The beach is a long walk or a short drive, and is clothing-optional after the lifeguards leave.
The apartment itself is clean and odorless, mandatory for us old geezers. Plenty of linens, including beach towels. Lots of toiletries, and good water pressure in the shower. The air conditioner is quiet and effective, but is over the entrance door. A portable fan would help.
Yes, she left us a bottle of Cava in the fridge, and it goes perfectly with the rooftop terrace sunset. This pales by comparison to the coffee and FOUR coffeemakers in the kitchen!
Katja is very responsive to needs. A light bulb was out in the kitchen and I messaged her very late at night. She was knocking on the door at 8am with a bucket of bulbs!
Yes, we will add this property to our list of favorites!
