"I came to Hacienda Roman knowing that in this part of Peru, you can't expect all the amenities like WiFi, cable TV, etc. If you go in with reasonable expectations, you'll be happy with this hotel. The pros: Staff are quite nice. Food is tasty and available fresh on site. Personal attention, especially the tour of the coffee/jungle out back, is phenomenal. The entire stay was worth it just for this!! The cons: Cooking is unbelievably slow; it took us no less than 1.5 hours to finish a meal...

"This hotel was fantastic! They will meet you at the train station and walk you to the hotel so you that you don't get lost. We had a Riverside room and the river was so loud but we loved it and even slept with the window open for the white noise. We went to Machu Picchu in the morning and they had no problem storing our book bags until 3:00 p.m. when we caught the train back to Cusco. I definitely recommend!!"
