"We needed a place to stay in or near Vinci for the night before our 3 week stay in a nearby villa began. Il Piastrino looked lovely and was VERY well priced. And it was exceptionally nice—from the spacious, charming rooms (surprise—we had a kitchen), the delicious breakfast, to the warm and welcoming staff. We arrived very late toward the end of a busy pris fixe am fresco dinner service but we were settled in and set at ease. And yes, we returned a few days later for the al fresco dining. Wow....

"An amazing place to stay if you want to experience Italy’s past. The staff is very accommodating and the restaurant very good. I felt lucky to find this place to stay. One little thing to know before booking is that the access is a little bit of an adventure in itself. "

"Lovely house and grounds, pool is amazing. House is very spacious, air con in the bedrooms made it very comfortable despite the heatwave! Great communication and assistance from Isola with checking in, shopping tips etc! "

"This is the most amazing experience. We spent 5 days here. It is a little family run Agriturismo that is exactly what it states. No frills, but living as an Italian farming family would. Lovely pool on site which was a great bonus. The meals are fantastic, home cooked and very affordable. We will definitely rerun with our family for another stay! LOVED IT!!"

"We stayed in one of Giulio and Marco’s new apartments for a week and had a fantastic time. The amenities, pool, olive groves and sunsets are beautiful. It was easy to get to Pisa and Lucca (20 min) each. Giulio was extremely generous with his time, giving us a detailed tour of the farm and explaining how he is planning to increase biodiversity. Both he and Marco also provided lots of helpful tips on making the most of the area. Definitely recommend!"

"A nice stay, but at the price point I was expecting that little more. Lovely room, nice food and friendly staff. Swimming pool had a maintenance issue so was unheated for the three days/ 2 nights of our stay. The heated pool was the main reason I chose this villa rather than other properties in the area. The artist residence programme sounded like a great idea but was fully booked the first day and sadly the person due to do the workshop was ill the second day and their workshop was...

"We loved our stay at the Borgo La Casseta. It’s a family business, they have a small restaurant on the main floor. It takes approx half an hour drive up the hill to get there from Pistoia. "Man merkt, dass sowohl die Ferienwohnung wie auch das Anwesen mit viel Liebe geführt wird. Umgeben von vielen blühenden Sträuchern, die wunderbar duften, konnten wir die Ruhe genießen und entspannen. Wir haben uns selbst bei Regen wohl gefühlt, dank der gemütlichen Einrichtung. "We are a group of 12 retired friends traveling first time in Tuscany. Villa Buonamici was the perfect accommodation for us. It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient. Our trip to Tuscany included stays in four separate locations and Villa Buonamici was by far our favorite. Do yourself a favor and stay at this Villa, you won’t be disappointed."
