Clean and comfortable

A little confusing to find the correct building once in the parking lot but Henry was attentive and helpful. Apartment was clean and had many extras including laundry detergent and plenty of towels and even coffee/creamer.

Missing Items on the property description

The title of the apartment as ‘modern’ is highly misleading since the apartment is a part of an older (as I was told historical) building, which was not renovated, just cleaned up and cosmetically painted. Bathroom towels felt worn out and had stains that did not come off with washing . Even though , the building complex had gates, the area right next to those gates had a lot of homeless people who did not make feel safe. Finally, hot water in the shower required to set the shower knob in an unusual position, which was missing in instructions. Also, a bed was missing a flat sheet. It was not an enjoyable stay.

Carefully Consider...

This property shows well online- and has some good reviews. But those reviews had to ignore the homeless individuals that roam the front and parking lot of the property all the time. We stayed for almost two weeks as I was in SLC to work. On three nights, when coming back from the hospital, there were police on or around the property actively engaged with the homeless. On our first night, some followed us through the gate and as we were parking, they went car to car to see if any of them were open. It did not make us feel safe at all. The apartment itself was ok; it is not furnished to support a long stay. The coffee cups were the largest glasses in the cupboard. There was a 6in and 8in sauce pan and one medium pot for cooking. We had to request washcloths (only one was provided b/c the cleaning crew hadn't finished the laundry) and we had to request a top sheet and pillow cases for the bed. When the cleaning crew brought these to us the next day, we were told 'it's a cultural thing' to want a top sheet and pillowcases. The bathroom is small; the sink is so small (14in x 8 in) that we had to open the medicine cabinet to be able to brush our teeth and spit the toothpaste in the sink without hitting our head on the mirror. The bed was comfortable and we slept well; the sofa is not made for long term sitting or loafing. And beware of the dog next door that howls at night. sometimes till after MN.

The property is clean and in decent condition. The communication is excellent. The property is close to the city train station (10 mins walking), Temple Square (15 mins walking), Convention Center (12 mins walking), and a large grocery store ( 5 mins walking). I have seen many people sit and stand around,outside the buildings, especially outside of Seven Eleven. But I still feel safe as long as I get back before dark.
