I traveled a long way from US to Swiss (Villa 12 is on the border between Swiss and France), and had to work on the arriving day, so I got at the Villa 12 Guesthouse around 8:30pm, that is very normal time for a hotel/Guesthouse check-in time. The areas itself is ok, it's near a tram stop into the centre of Basel and within close enough proximity to local amenities such as the Co-op to stock up on some essentials for cooking. "The location was not hard to find once we put the correct address. The host were helpful and easy to communicate with. We wanted a place to stay that would allow us to short visits to Zurich and Germany and this place was perfect for it. "
