Great rental price, accommodations, and location.
Perfect property for a family or friends gathering. The 6 members, including myself, had not been together as a group since our 50th HS reunion in 2016, and had a wonderful time reminiscing about our lasting friendship in a pleasant environment.

Awesome house
The property was even better than advertised. My only regret is that we were so busy we didnt spend a lot of time at the house. The house was very nice and we are looking forward to going back sometime in the future.

Great place for families
We had a large family with pets staying together for a mcrd graduation and this was a great option for us. The house was spacious and clean. Living room furniture was new, beds were comfortable. We made good use of the screened in porch as the evening weather was perfect for sitting outside. The kids loved the upstairs game room. The drive to the base didn’t take long at all. We walked to the old fort and explored as well as spending some time down at the water. We found one minor issue upon check in and the owner got back to us immediately. Met a couple Neighbors and they super friendly. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

2023 vacation
We loved staying at Bell Point. It's very clean, quiet and a comfortable place to stay. All of us felt at home. We had the pleasure of meeting the host of Bell Point the first day, she was quick to take care of any issues we had. My nephew is stationed at Paris Island we were able to visit with him and see the old fort just down the road. I would love to stay here again.

Good family time
The location is great, near good fishing, great seafood restaurants and it is a short trip to the ocean. Wifi is iffy but our main reason for the trip was family time so not a priority for us. The bed configuration was different than that posted on the website but the host provided an air mattress

Wonderful place
My family and I stayed in this place for our sons USMC graduation. There was plenty of room for all of us. The pictures are exactly as the house shows. It was beautiful. The fort is across the road and it is very cool to walk through. Parris Island is about a 25 minute drive so it's a great place to stay if you are looking to visit for Graduation. There is also a public access to the beach less than a five minute walk. The porch was wonderful to sit on and very peaceful.

Marine Graduation Week
Tons of space. We had 9 and could have easily slept more. House is a lot more spacious than the pictures let on. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, pots n pans, ext. If you are staying for. Marine graduation it is a solid 30 mins to Parris Island. Had no problem getting instacart deliveries. It is about 10-15 min drive to all stores.

Bell Point is fabulous!
Our family gathered at Bell Point for Labor Day weekend, right after a hurricane passed through South Carolina. Yard debris was cleared even though we were there 2 days later. Jane communicated that there was power but no television. As we are a family of card/board games, and jigsaw puzzle workers, we certainly didn’t mind no TV. It was wonderful to have 2 coffee makers for 7 adults, plenty of space for us to game and share meals, well-stocked kitchen for preparing said meals. Plenty of space for each couple/ person to have their own bedroom. The neighborhood was friendly, and I highly recommend renting the golf cart to get around and explore, although the beach and Fort Fremont are an easy walk. We enjoyed exploring nearby Beaufort, and Port Royal. We also enjoyed reading the history of the area in the notebook provided by Jane. Bell Point was an excellent spot for our little family reunion.

Place Needs Some TLC
Overall location was great for our purposes and owner communicated rather quickly to several hiccups that occurred: smoke alarm going off when we arrived; lightbulbs missing from lamps; electric can opener broken & water heater fuse flipped so a few had col showers until we figured out the reason. We loved the fact that we could have the 3 dogs between us there but the cleanliness and age of furniture looked as though it accommodated the dogs more than the guests. The outdoor porch would have been a great addition but porch and furniture was very filthy and looked like tall needed a good power wash. The pool table had only one complete pocket so balls fell to the floor. The couches in living room desperately need replacing. Despite the above the location was perfect, the kitchen well equipped and homeowner very nice.

Comfortable Space in a Tranquil Neighborhood
Our group of 9 adults and 3 dogs (one small, one medium, one large) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bell Point. The shared areas were spacious and we especially liked the size and layout of the kitchen. The screened porch was a popular spot and the backyard was a nice spot to enjoy the firepit and listen to the songbirds. My parents (mid-70s) found the master very comfortable and accessible and everyone else was very comfortable in the other bedrooms. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxed, we never heard any neighbors the whole week. While the DSL internet service was dependable during the day, it tended to lag in the evenings (likely because more neighbors were online). This was not a problem as it encouraged us to get out and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed strolling the nearby beach and the egret/heron rookery a couple of blocks away at Land's End Pond. The Beaufort area presented plenty of sightseeing opportunities and Savannah was an easy day trip. We would definitely stay again!

DARK
We were told we had power to the home. We had no power, homeowner briught candles and matches on the first night. Had to eat out every night due to no power. Water was not safe to drink, no hot water. We had friends that rented a home as well that had no power and were giving other homes to stay in. We were not. It ended up costing us much more than we expected due to we couldn't make any meals or eat at the house. Feel free to contact me with ANY QUESTIONS. Tammy Solorio

Family time for at Bell Point!
We had a wonderful week. Jane was the best, very quick to respond with questions or anything we needed, she even dropped off home grown tomatoes! Our guys fished and caught stingrays, a baby shark, and all of us enjoyed trying to catch the crabs! The neighbors were so friendly and everyone we met acted like they had known us forever. The sound isn't like the ocean so don't expect a huge beach or large waves. We were there for our Marines graduation (30 minutes from PI) and he has 3 brothers so the area was perfect for them, the girls enjoyed the sun, and the house was perfect and peaceful for all of us. If you want the large beach Hunting Island is one of the most beautiful beaches in our wonderful state and is only about a 20 minute drive, we enjoyed 2 great days there. Jane has a very informative book put together that tells you about the local history of the area ( quite a lot including movies made in the area) within the drive in and we were surprised how close the ruins and old school were. The fort was right next to us and our dogs got to enjoy it as much as we did, it was where they headed on every walk!! The younger adults even went to try and find the ghosts of Fort Fremont!! All in all we had a wonderful time with family and Jane made sure everything within her power made that happen, the whole family loved her. And I can't end without mentioning the grapefruit, lime, tangerine and fig trees at Bell Point I just wish they would have been ripe! Oh well hopefully someday soon another family will enjoy them!! A huge shout out and thanks to Jane!

Buyer Beware
This property is in need of some serious updating and cleaning. Upon entering the house we were hit with an over whelming smell of mildew and mold. Even opening all windows and burning candles could not get rid of it. Carpets and bed spreads were old and stained. We had a couple of roaches in the kitchen and bath. They have made updates to kitchen/living room area but baths are in dire need of an update or at least a thorough cleaning. At first glance the kitchen seems well stocked but when we tried to make a meal for the 8 of us there were no pans large enough. Some of the kitchen pans were rusted and unusable. Back porch, windows and exterior of home had a lot of green mold. Front porch hand rails were broken and detached. Back porch screens were pushed out and hanging. Exterior furniture was metal and rusted. Grill bottom was rusted through so only half could be used. We were there for our son's graduation from Parris Island and had planned a BBQ with other families at our home, we were forced to move the celebration to another family's home. After seeing the beautiful beach front home they rented for the same amount we spent we were even more disappointed. This home advertises that is is second row from the beach, technically true, but you must enter through Fort Freemont and find a hole in the fence to access small beach with mucky bottom. After this experience it is doubtful that we will ever use VRBO again.

Stayed here many times, but never had a problem until now...
We stayed at Bell Point during July 2018. I sent the owner a message(below) after our stay and have still not received a response. Hi! My group of friends and myself just got back from our stay yesterday from the Bell Point house at Lands End. This is actually the third or fourth time in the past few years that we have stayed at the house and we were unfortunately, extremely disappointed. When you first walk in it's great to see the remodel in the kitchen, dinning room, living room, and hallway area. For as long as we have been going we noticed that most of the beds have the same comforters/quilts that have been on for years. These comforters and quilts were extremely stained with blood and who knows what else. Another couple felt they needed to sleep on top of the bed instead of in the sheets because there were white stains on the dark Navy sheets. One of the guests with us found a bug in the bed and after doing some googling was thought to be a bed bug. This guest drove all the way to town to buy an air mattress. We were all extremely concerned that we would take bed bugs home to our houses. One of our guests who came works as an exterminator and he confirmed that they were indeed bed bugs. He actually said the mattress covers on the mattresses were made for bed bugs. There are actually several guests that ended up with bites all over them which even more confirms that there must have been bed bugs in the house. Everyone of us had to take the time when we got home to take precautions to make sure we didn't bring bed bugs home with us. We made a phone call to the number that was on the fridge. Whoever we spoke with said they weren't aware of the bed bugs but that they would send someone out. We were at the house pretty much the entire day and never saw anyone come by including whoever we talked to on the phone. There was also mold in the upstairs shower which we were told that it happens from time to time because of the humidity. The stains that are in the shower do not just happen over night. It was actually uncomfortable for guests to even shower in there because they said it felt dirty. It's disappointing and we hope that the next guests don't have to experience this. We have never had a problem like this before and usually have a great stay at Bell Point. We were pretty disappointed the manager did not come by and check on things after we called as it says on the book they live close. Unfortunately we would be scared to rent this again.

Great location, ample space
This comfortable and unfussy house had plenty of space for four couples (could have had one more) plus a large screened porch, outdoor seating areas, and a pool table upstairs. Kitchen is well equipped. There were missing or dead light bulbs in a number of fixtures; all of those should be checked by housekeepers before next rental. Overall, we would certainly rent this house again.

Bell Point - Very Disappointing
Mold, filthy, broken fixtures, and overall dysfunctional for a family of 6 or more. The property is NOT waterfront, and is actually in the middle of a RV Park...or so it appears. The property was filthy, stunk, and contained visible mold. The host tried to remedy the situation by coming by and cleaning, but we simply could not stay because of elderly & asthmatic health issues of two family members. We immediately booked a different property and left after staying ONLY one night because of travel exhaustion. We would NOT recommend this property.
