"This chateau is nothing short of fabulous. The owner, Phillipe, is gracious and generous. The chateau itself is gorgeous and close to the small town of Evreux. I recommend going kayaking on the Eure river. It all makes for a relaxing respite from the bustling, overwhelm of Paris. Only one hour away by train, this place is absolutely a gem. I can't say enough about how great of an experience it was."

"We only stayed one night on our way further south, but really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently situated and beautifully designed, with a large and comfortable seating area downstairs and access to a kitchen. We especially liked the design and ambience of the property and it was quiet and peaceful. The town isn't much to write home about, although has a nice cathedral. We would stay at Erawan Boutique Hotel again."

"These type of hotels are hit and miss. I’ve stayed in a lot of them. It was ok for a stopover one night if you don’t expect too much. Basically I just want somewhere to sleep. It all depends on who your neighbours are- unfortunately we had rowdy neighbours who were up a lot of the night making loads of noise with children running around, lots of moving stuff around etc- making no attempt to think of others - so if you encounter that then it’s not going to be good anywhere. "A wonderful tranquil place to stay. The location, house, room and gardens were so lovely. Our hostess was very welcoming and the breakfast was lovely with plenty to eat. Definitely would stay again. One minor niggle was that only tea, coffee and milk were provided in the room on the first night. Normally these would be replenished each day, so we had to go without drinks on our 2nd night. "
