"The cabin on Whites pond is a very nice cozy cabin on a beautiful pond. It was clean and very comfortable. You can tell it is a cabin that family enjoys. Loved the Indian looking out over the water. Truly a lovely cabin. So sorry about the floor. I am glad that the charge was applied for the repair. "

"It was an absolutely beautiful cabin hard to get to so the directions should be changed because it takes through the back side in order to get into the location and then you end up having to turn around because you end up in a corn field in the middle of the night and that's a little rugged no TVs in any of the rooms. Other than that our stay was amazing. Very clean everything equipped inside. You just had to get your own food and stuff. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and hope to be back"

"If you, dear reader, and I have anything in common, then you're reading this at 1am after a long work day and you've reached this listing by googling "places to stay in Maine under $100." You're also probably saying to yourself "What a quaint little cabin in the heart of Stephen King country! I wonder if anything Stephen King-related would happen to me if I stayed there?" Dear reader, let me put your fears to rest: book the dang cabin!!! I went here on my first solo vacation and could not have had a better time. The pictures do not do it justice. I spent five nights scaring myself senseless by reading Edgar Allen Poe in the loft and it was delightful. The heater worked like a dream, the hot water stayed hot, the full kitchen allowed me to drink my bodyweight in soup and the place felt like home. The property manager even came by before I arrived to put the lights and the heat on. So nice! She was quick to answer questions and the place was so thoughtfully arranged. Ignore that two star review complaining about spiderwebs. It's a freakin cabin. If you don't like nature, stay in a Marriott. I'm not getting paid to write this, I genuinely had a great time. "

"It was a lovely old victorian home and I was grateful for no highly scented fabreeze type scent and the beautiful cotton sheets and down pillows. Breakfast was served and it was my bad not to mention that I am a vegetarian: won't happen again. And yes I would stay again if I ever make it to DF again."

"Loved this place and so did our dogs. Definately want to come back. Amazing huge wood fireplace and lots of land right out the back door to explore and throw the frisbee. It would be a great place for kids too. So quiet! No airplane noise even! No cars or neighbor noises. Clean, very comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and linens and even a washer/dryer. Also decent water pressure and a combo hand/regular shower head came in handy. Huge too with multiple beds. Two bedrooms with pocket doors that closed (a bit sticky and hard to move tho). It was pretty hard to find at night. The area is pitch dark and the roads are bumpy dirt roads hard to distiguish from a private drive. Google maps also has Downing Rd, the left turn off of Rt 43, as closed, and directs you to turn off prior to Downing (if coming from the west) onto Atkins which isn't a real road lol. Good wifi & cell service. No TV but we brought my 36 in and that was fine. I'm picky so brought my coffee machine but there was multiple machines (Keurig also Cuisinart drip) so I didn't need it. There isn't much to do in the immediate area tourist-wise but it's half an hour from Bangor and there is a good antique mall in Corrina as well as a family type restaurant across the street. Was surprised to see buggy crossing signs on Rt 43! And then we saw an actual buggy with people! Bet that would be a highlight for kids "
