Saint-Aignan is a village of charming houses along the Cher River. Typical of the Loir-et-Cher region, it has its own medieval castle. The commune also features picturesque nature trails and a zoo. The village is known for its Valençay goat’s cheese, green berry lentils and pastries full of mashed potato. Have a springtime meal of fresh strawberries and sautéed asparagus and local wines.
