Place was great. A few things didn't work like the hot tub would not get hot but we made do. The fireplace worked for a little bit then quit. All in all was a great stay. Would stay there again.

Great cabin
We enjoyed our stay here. Great location and easy access to town. Cabin was very spacious and the downstairs room/bathroom was great for our teenagers. The deck had a beautiful view of the Sierra Blanca mountains.

Incredible house and location
The house was amazing to stay in, it was well appointed and we felt right at home. The location is incredible as it looks out to the peak of the mountain. The hot tub was a great addition and the whole experience was amazing. Would absolutely stay again!

the cabin was very clean. lots of fresh towels and extra linens. the beds were comfortable. great location in ruidoso. its right in town yet you feel like youre outside of town because of the view and all the trees. we'd go again!

Over all the house was filthy. The kitchen table was so disgusting we bought a plastic tablecloth to cover it! The kitchen cabinets were gross to touch. Every single dish had to be washed before we could use anything. Wall behind trash can was disgusting. The floors throughout the house were dirty but the stairs were disgusting. Covered with dog hair and dirt! The air return on the heater is disgusting. And there are repairs that need your attention! On the main floor the bathroom shower head flew off during showers twice! Was a mess to clean up! There was one dish cloth and one dish towel! There were no skillets to cook with! The coffee pot leaks every time you make a pot of coffee. The supplies need to be checked and replaced. Over all the house needs your attention!

First time disappointed
Home was tidy but not cleaned. First night one of the guests stepped on broken glass in the downstairs room. This was not the only room that was clearly not swept up. The dining, kitchen and living room looked like everything was swept under the table or recliner. The majority of dishes were dirty and not from the hard water. The kitchen is not fully stocked and everything was outdated. The showerhead in the main bedroom was broken and the tub would not drain so the couple showered in the upstairs bathroom The linens were lacking; inventory stickers in the bathroom closet says washcloths but there was ONE in the entire home. I have never had to leave a negative review on VRBO and we didn’t call management because we were just willing to overlook the issues and enjoy our weekend with friends who we haven’t seen in quite a long time.

New Year’s at Ann’s Sierra View
This was a lovely, comfortable space for five adults and three teenagers and wonderful Mountain View’s. .Be aware that the bedroom shown with a queen bed and two bunks can only be accessed by an outside stairway so is not ideal for small children. There was a non-working gas fireplace and a dangerous light fixture when we got there. Taylor and the maintenance crew responded quickly and efficiently to take care of these problems. However, the fireplace repairman advised us we could only turn it on for an hour at a time. There is no way to actually speak to a representative of Hummingbird Cabins properties, only voice mail. We could get no internet connection the five days we were there because of windy conditions, we were told. Our family (grown children & their teenagers) seemed to enjoy the experience.
