A beautiful home and stay
We spent a few low-key days in this home, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The beautiful lake with access to kayaks, along with the nice deck and other furnishing, was all enjoyed, and we'd come back if our travels were this way again.

A great spot to stay on SML
We had a wonderful time at SML. We stayed here in early September, so the lake was peaceful and quiet. The weather was warm but not hot. We enjoyed boating on the water and swimming at the dock. The house has everything you could need to entertain kids of all ages. Our kids loved the game room and the bunk beds. We made smores in the fire pit and boated out to watch the sunrise one morning on the lake. We made lots of priceless family memories and spent loads of time outside...so it was a very great vacation : )

Great week at SML
We would definitely rent here again. The house was well appointed for the 6 adults in our family. Plenty of floats for the lake and the dock was great! Kitchen had everything we needed. The bedrooms and baths were clean and roomy.

Great Lake vacation
This was the perfect lake house for a long weekend in SML. Beautiful lake view. Well appointed with comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, gameroom, kayaks, dock for fishing and more. Would stay again. The hosts were wonderful!

Lakeside retreat
Fantastic long weekend. House had everything we needed and more. The host, Keith, was very friendly and super helpful. We particularly enjoyed the deck,games room, loafing on the dock, the firepit, front room and comfortable beds. Rented a boat from Smith Mountain Recreational Boat Rentals who run a friendly family business with brand new boats. Highly recommended.

Great Getaway!
Our group of three couples try to get away for a long weekend when we can. This is our third time at Happy Wife and its perfect for us! We all have plenty of private space but also enjoy being together in the common areas, especially the upper deck. Personally, i enjoy a competitive game of ping pong with my husband each time. Access to the internet is important and we have not been disappointed. The house has always been clean and is tastefully decorated. Its close to anything we might need and the owners are fantastic to work with. We highly recommend it!

Relaxing Fall Break
Our stay here was wonderful! We got to enjoy so many aspects of what this home has to offer. Cooler mornings were spent with a cup of coffee up on the covered porch as we enjoyed views of the lake. Though it was cooler, it was sunny enough to spend the daytime out on the water. We made use of the 3 kayaks provided and took our own paddle board out as well. The younger kids fished for hours off the floating dock. By evening we made a fire at the fire pit each day and enjoyed warm drinks and s’mores. And don’t forget the games! Every night we had epic ping pong matches until midnight. Thank you for allowing us to relax and enjoy the lake and your home.

Lovely property, as described it has plenty of room for a family with several children or a few couples. The game room was a big hit and the lake access and views are as advertised. Definitely recommend.

Family vacation in our hometown
My husband and I, along with my brother and his wife, had a great stay in Moneta. My brother and I were born and raised in Vinton/Roanoke area and it had been over 10 years since we had been home. The weather was fantastic, we got to visit with friends we hadn't seen for years, and visit old familiar restaurants and landmarks that meant a lot to us. When not visiting we got in some fishing from the dock. A great time was had by all! Thanks for sharing your home!

Just what we needed!
Everything was awesome! Location was great! We loved being in the no wake cove, swimming off the dock was a huge hit and super easy to tie up our rented boat. House was perfect for our group, it was nice that everyone had their own space and bathroom. It also had everything we needed to have lunches/dinners at the house. Would 11/10 recommend and would love to come back again!

Peaceful cove
We had a wonderful stay at this lake house! We have been coming to SML for years. Now with small kids, this house had plenty of games and toys to keep them occupied as well! The house was plenty big to accommodate our 2 families. The cove was wonderful, very quiet. The house was well kept (with comfortable beds!)! We truly enjoyed ourselves and had a relaxing time. Would go back!
