"Our stay at Kenmare Bay Hotel was pleasant. The staff are very nice. Our room and bath were clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast and dinner options are very good. The hotel is within a 3 minute walk from the center of Kenmare, which has numerous restaurants and shops. We did have a problem with the heat. "Stayed here one night in preparation for the boat trip to Skellig Michael which was sadly cancelled the next day due to rough seas and high winds. However, this was a lovely little place and we had a very pleasant stay. We stayed in the room with the attached bathroom and there was a great setup outside for coffee etc. which was much appreciated. Thank you!"

"The hotel was a modest 3 star . The location is great but the building is tired and needs updating. Breakfast was good. I just wouldn’t claim that it was a 4 star hotel, in its heyday, maybe."

"The manager at the reception made everything about the start cheery and positive (originally from South Africa). She is very helpful towards all guests. This is a fine hotel - listened to the live Irish music they had in the bar. Wonderful!"
