"I quite liked this place for the price. Location could NOT have been better!!! It was such a perfect location! Staff was amazing and so helpful!! There was a tinnny elevator which was so helpful to get the luggage to the room. It was clean, and beds pretty comfortable. My sons bed was more comfortable then mine, mine had a weird lump/roll in the middle. It was verrrrry hot to sleep here. No ac as most places in Germany. "location was great and in a very close distance to the train station. and the central attractions. Cleanliness, was good for the amount paid. bed linings were clear and ready to be fitted to the bed by ownself. Staff were helpful but very busy all the time dealing with customers. Facilities needed for a backpacker were sufficient: WiFi, Socket, Space to sit and eat and work and enjoy the time. Bar and reception area was however, noisy and tiny and crowded most of the times. Happy to come again...

"Very unclean and worn building. Half of it was a building site so works began early in the morning. The basement room had a window that you could hear people moving about all night. The shower and bathroom were so bad we really refrained from using it at all. A taxi driver informed us that there are women who offer extra services in this hostel. AVOID THIS HOSTEL. Wasn’t even cheap compared to other accommodation we were just desperate for somewhere to sleep. "

"It is a fairly average, cheap hostel. Staff member upon check-in made me pay twice as I had pre-paid on expedia but then paid also on arrival - so be sure if youve already paid. This was all resolved the next day by a helpful lady. Beds were very creaky so every time you moved it would make a noise. Lockers were a bit temperamental - you have to be quite forceful to ensure they are closed. Bathroom has mould in, so it needs a good airing after shower use. Towels were provided, but there were no...

"It's a great value, very clean and less than 3 minutes walk to the S-Bahn station that is 8 minutes riding from the main train station. The free parking on the property is great, along with the kitchen/common area. Has all the best features of a hostel, but with a hotel feel. Highly recommend."

"This is a gem of a hostel, you can't go wrong. We had a 6 bed room to ourselves and, while initially looking a little on the cramped side, it was no bother at all as we mainly spent our time out and about. Spotlessly clean, great en suite shower, firm mattresses (which I thought were great, but guess that's down to personal preference!) The hostel is a 25 min walk from the centre of Cologne (Dom & railway station etc) and located a few mins walk from the buzzing Belgian Quarter, but still...
