This was a nice place to stay, but we didn't get there until late and the inside of the unit was very hot. It was cooler outside, but there were no screens on the doors and the windows alone were not big enough to create a cross breeze to cool it off. We tried the window mount air conditioner, but it was too small and really only cooled off the area in the living room right in front of it. The bedroom never got cool enough for me to sleep so I slept on the couch (my wife was okay in the bed). In the morning, I hit one of the couch cushions to tuck it back into place and a cloud of dust came out of it. Other than that the place seemed to be really clean - bathroom and kitchen in particular, although we didn't use the kitchen really at all. Since we were staying the next night, we left the windows open a bit. We were gone all day, but when we returned the temperature was much more reasonable and we were able to get it cooled off since we weren't playing catch up. This was my first time with a VRBO (we love our timeshare) so I wasn't sure what to expect. While the nightly rental rate seemed very reasonable at first, by the time all the fees and extra charges were added it ended up being much more than I expected. Since we really only slept there, next time I think we will just stick to a hotel room and drive a little farther to the Palisade State Park.
