We had a fantastic stay at Anne's property in Ribeauville. It was in a perfect location, right in the heart of town, making it easy to explore and get to know the village. The town itself is central to all the places we wanted to see in Alsace and because it had a big spacious garage that was easy to access, it made renting a car & road tripping around the area so easy. The home itself is one floor up (above the garage) and checked so many boxes: mod cons in the kitchen, shower room separate from toilet room, duvets, lots of seating, spacious common areas, lovely decor, quiet at night, and more. Anne was a wonderful host - waiting for us when we arrived and on call whenever we needed her, in whatever way worked best for us technologically (ie without mobile on hand, I relied instead on What's App). Special treats from her and such a friendly, helpful attitude were much appreciated!
If I had to call on anything for future improvement, it would be to offer Netflix (or a connector cable to iPads to the TV) so that people limited in French would have options to watch on TV. But we had so much to explore outside that it wasn't a major issue...just a suggestion for evolution.
Overall, it was one of the best rental experiences I've had. And Ribeauville itself was a superb town to set roots in ... not too busy (like Strasbourg & Colmar would have been) but still full of adorable, charming buildings and with all the basics we might need: restaurants, wineries, small grocery stores, bakeries, boulangeries, shops for tourists and locals, a market, a chocolate making facility/store - the list goes on and on... the perfect balance of small town charm and urban conveniences. So happy with our choice in the town and in the property.
