"Beautiful, cozy, perfect little cottage for our family of 5. With a spectacular view of the river and mountains from every room, we enjoyed the hot tub late into the night. Perfectly clean, warm and comfortable beds. A hidden gem!! "

Overall, much greater than I expected, and I already was excited for the stay. the restaurant overlooking the waterfalls and river, the troll garden stroll, the hot tubs. All superb. It is in a remote area and provided us an excellent view of the northern lights, which we watched from the hot tub. Ideal experience, I recommend giving it a shot. "

"Great place, far away from everything, so buy from a store what you want because no grocery store in radius of 50-60 km. Because it is distant from lights we managed to see the Northern lights for the first time there :)"

"We loved our stay at this cottage in Iceland. It was a perfect spot for our exploring to Snæfellsnes. The cottage was wonderfully equipped with everything we needed and all instructions were clear and easy to follow. We settled right in. My teenager loved the loft and having the cool windows. Iceland is a long way from home for us but we would come back in a heartbeat."

We were glad to have a 4x4 because of the bad weather we faced, but any concern we could have had was evident in the information provided by our host. "We really loved the peaceful setting of the cabin. It felt so spacious for our group of two! The views were wonderful especially the glacier in the distance. It is definitely quite a ride into town so we were glad to have brought food to cook there. It was a great spot to access the Snaefellsnes peninsula which we did in one day. We would have loved to stay longer!"

"Two very comfortable houses within a quick walk from each other. The location well away from town and within easy day trips from Snaefellsnes peninsula and golden circle worked great for us. Great aurora on 2 nights. Hosts were very responsive to questions and provided great info about the whole region. "

"The cabin lives up to its name as it is very cozy and the views are spectacular. We had northern light shows both nights we stayed there and loved the sauna to warm up after a cold day on the glacier not too far from the cabin. The owner communicated very well and check in and out was very easy. We loved that the cabin is off the beaten path but also a 20 minute drive to restaurants and shops in Borgarnes. We would definitely stay here when we visit Iceland again. "

"We stayed here for 1 night. We reached a bit after dark and it was our first night in Iceland. The guy at the reception did not understand much English. It was very dark as there is no light pollution. It would have been helpful if he had come with us to show the room, as we had to cross a little bridge after parking our car and we were fumbling in the dark. It is not far from the parking, or the main building, but he just gave us the keys and pointed outside, rather than just take the 5 min walk and show us the room. The breakfast was adequate and the view was good from the breakfast cafe. We did not see the northern lights that night, but the place can be great to see the northern lights. The cafe has microwave, and it is possible that they let you warm your own food there. The room had the coffee maker only. "
