"This property is clearly not at its best during what we discovered only after we arrived as their "off-season." The restaurant was closed, even though we were told it would be open during the weekend. It was difficult to find anything fully open. Our thoughts about our stay were compounded by very cool, very wet, and very overcast weather conditions. We do not recommend visiting this area after mid-September!"

"The best thing about this stay was Pilar's (the host) hospitality! She is lovely, and despite the language barriers, we had some great chats with her and looked round her lovely home - she also made us the best sponge cake ever!! The apartment itself is clean and the bed was comfortable and quiet. There is a lovely garden you can use and we enjoyed a meal sat on the porch one evening. The only negative is the outdoor space is 2 floors down through the main house and the living space only has sky...

"We stayed for two weeks in September. What a lovely place to stay. Both Montse (the owner) and the neighbours are lovely people. Oto is a very quiet village :-). Broto, next village, only a mile away has everything we needed. Small supermarket, butcher, baker, bars and I've no doubt there is a candlestick maker somewhere about. Second time we've been here and still loads for us to explore. WE'LL BE BACK."

"We spent a weekend as we had the Quebrantahuesos cycling race. The house is great, extremely clean and with all the commodities you might need. Location wise is very good for any kind of mountain plan, BTT, hiking, walking, road bycicle with a lot of incredible routes nearby and within a close driving distance from the Formigal ski resort. There is a grocery store on the same road as the hotel, on the way to the old city. There is also free parking in a lot 2 blocks behind the hotel. It backs onto the castle grounds. There are two decent restaurants near the side entrance to the Cathedral and several more behind the Cathedral that have tables outside in a big sunny plaza. The staff at the hotel were really nice and helpful."

Dog friendly hotel with spectacular views

"We have stayed here several times as it is a perfect dog friendly hotel. We pay for a room with a patio which is great for the dogs. The area is ideal for walkers and the scenery is spectacular. The town of Torla is unique with beautiful buildings, well worth exploring."

"Friendly introduction and service was excellent for the 3 nights. Well located near ciudad central. Great elevator, be sure to use it. Room "edelweiss" was large, two sofa chairs, large windows for ventilation, even in summer. Breakfast was "Spain". Again, service was great, rates were more than reasonable."
