Beautiful Retreat
This home was cozy, beautiful and remote. We very much enjoyed our time here. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed to accommodate our stay.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Parts of the cabin are updated and parts are not. A work in progress but absolutely beautiful. Be prepared for narrow windy dirt roads but well worth the drive. A little closer to the neighbors than we realized but this took nothing away from us enjoying the deck space especially when star gazing.
Nice property. House is stocked with everything you could think of. A small fan for the bedroom, batteries, all untensils & cookware. All appliances are nice & upgraded. House is a little remote so recommend showing up before dark. You may need the wifi. Satellite tv. Plenty of space. Large deck.
The home and location was great. While the home is slightly dated, it was stocked and setup quite nicely. Very functional for what we were needing. The location was great, secluded but not terribly far out.
Our only real concern was as UTV riders, the parking was tight. With out trucks and trailers like we brought, it would be just fine, but was a bit snug for us. The owner and the association was going to allow us to use a different area for parking which was nice. This certainly isn't a dig on the property, but more of a note for fellow riders.

Nice area, cozy cabin.
Definitely enjoyed our stay of the area, I think you pay more for the location. The cabin is cozy but needs some maintenance care for what is charged. The photos seem as if the cabin is secluded from others, but upon arrival we were a little discouraged to see other rentals or owners so close to hear their conversations. We traveled 19 hours to get away from that. We fixed a few of the kitchen drawers ourselves, they were falling out/off the track. Keurig coffee maker works if you hold down the top to pierce the k-cup. The email from Evolve does not match the check in book left for you upon arrival. We also think the kind size bed is maybe partially broken? It sinks in the middle. Husband had a hard time getting in and out of it.
The view is amazing, everything you might need in the kitchen for cooking your own meals, all ages of the family loved the location, amenities and serenity.
Our group loved this space! While it was smaller than the photos make it seem, it was far more beautiful and in such an incredible location! Roads are steep with sharp turns amongst trees and rocks in the mountains. Deer in the yard each morning and night, a friendly neighbor dog stopped by for a pet and some tug of war now and then, and evenings were spent on the top deck, staring at the stars. It was magnificent!!! We didn’t want to leave 🥰
Very clean and neat property. Only complaints are neighbors are quite close and the listing didnt mention that one of the bedrooms was downstairs. Otherwise it is a cabin with everything you need!
Beautiful scenery! House was stocked with essential things which was convenient. Was clean upon arrival. Checking in and out was very easy. And letting us park our pontoon by the mailboxes was so helpful! Would stay again!
Pleased with our stay, would recommend you bring your own paper plates, silverware. The beds were not very comfortable, the bed in the basement slopes to the middle. Overall was a good stay. Great location!!!
This is a perfectly centrally located to all the spots we wanted to visit. The windy road leading into the cabin added to the fun. The deck had a beautiful flowery smell from the plants along the side of the house. It was stocked with everything that made our trip easy and fun.

Awesome home!
My family celebrated “Christmas in July” and the cabin was a perfect place for adults and kids- the loft for the kids was perfect. The bedrooms were comfortable and everything was as it was pictured - the directions to the cabin were perfect- all the nice little extras were appreciated-it was everything and more than we expected.
The property had several wonderful amenities. A fully stocked kitchen. Upgraded appliances. Cute decor in the home. The space inside was quite large for a family.
The king bed downstairs is sinking inwards drastically. I read the other reviews and someone else mentioned it as well. Our family member sleeping on it had prior back surgery and ended up in severe pain during the trip from the structure. The pillows are also worn out and need to be replaced in each room. Very flat.
Each room did have a separate heater, which was nice for the weather. The owner seemed to have thought of many nice things. However, compared to the other cabins we have stayed in the area. This one needs upgrades to basics.
We did have an issue with check in as the cabin had not been cleaned. We called the property owner and he was able to find a place for us to stay the night. We returned the next day and everything was in order. The cabin was very cozy and comfortable. We liked the location as it was centrally located. I would recommend this site.
Place was beautiful! Loved all the wooded area kids had to explore!
Great experience, however basement shower had terrible Pressure and no hot water and a couple beds were awful.
Over all we had an excellent time!!
Beautiful location and cozy home!! Our family made wonderful memories to cherish!
Property is well maintained and gave us lots of sleeping arrangements. The location is spectacular for those who want to be away from the sites and sounds of cities and towns, but not far from groceries, fuel and other needs.
We fell in love with the Black Hills and are now looking for a house for ourselves!
Take heed to the owner's warning that you will need 4x4/AWD during the winter months. The unpaved road from paved maintained road to the neighborhood had decent inclines and switchbacks; the paved streets in the neighborhood have very steep inclines. (the drive back and forth is worth it though)

Beautiful
We had an amazing time while staying at this cabin. The owners are extremely helpful.
the Cabin stay was excellent, fit all of us comfortable will never ran out of hot water, we all ate.
out door eating and indoor eating was all comfortable. My daughters would like to know what kind of shampoo was in the upstairs bathroom? They loved it. You had plenty of towels, we washed a load.
Thank you for a wonderful time. Janice Nash 303-915-9309
We were extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the property, especially during the current pandemic. Kitchen had updated applicances with many extras. Large deck easily accommodated our familiy of 10. Bedrooms were large and laundry washer/dryer were high end. This is a must see home if searching for a family gathering spot conveinet to Mt Rushmore, Custer to the South or Deadwood and Spearfish to the North. 5 stars is not sufficient.
Great place to stay but a few miles on rough gravel and further out than we thought!
Cabin was filled with games for kids, foosball, brand new appliances, dishes, towels, etc. I brought extra towels thinking it was not enough for 8 of us, but they had plenty. (new washer and dryer which was nice)
