Condo not ready/lack of response
I rented months ago through the VRBO app, but received confirmation from Vacasa. In mid August, I contacted VRBO through the app to see if we could arrive a day earlier & leave a day earlier. I took screen shots of the exchange via VRBO app & their confirmation that the change had been made. Since we had 2 back to back reservations through VRBO, the app was showing the whole range of dates, so I didn’t give it much thought. A couple of days before we were to arrive, I realized VRBO had never updated the dates. They finally updated the dates.
When we arrived at 5:30pm, the condo had not been cleaned & was extremely dirty (should have been ready at 4pm). I had a ridiculous lack of response from Vacasa, who kept trying to reach the “local crew” but couldn’t, and kept telling me to just wait. After an hour of sitting in the car in the cold, I got a manager with Vacasa on the phone. She also couldn’t reach anyone locally.
However, a man arrived to clean and we finally got to check in at 9pm! I was told by Vacasa manager Nicole that someone would call me the next day to check on us. I’ve yet to receive a call.
Needless to say, we were exhausted. Unfortunately, the kitchen still had food crumbs on the counters and table. The comforters had not been changed from the previous guests. Condo needs repairs - radiators are rusted; furniture is old, finish worn off, stained, & beat up; things broken/falling apart; the list goes on.
