Close to Pocahontas State Park, with hiking trails and access to the James River! Only minutes away from West Chester Commons for any shopping needs & also Movie theater. Quick weekend trip at the perfect location

Kasey's vacation home was a true treasure that we found when looking for a pet-friendly property. We needed to be at a funeral in Midlothian on Saturday and didn't want to spend 2 nights in a hotel with our dogs and mother-in-law. The house far exceeded my expectations. Kasey was the perfect host. The house is lovely from the blue front door to the screened in porch which would be the place to be during warmer weather. The house was decked out for Christmas both inside and outside and put us in a festive mood. The beds and couch were extremely comfortable, and the house was stocked with everything we needed for the weekend to eat in and host our local friends for a quick visit. Our dogs loved the large fenced yard which was just what we needed. We hope to visit again when it is warmer to enjoy the screened in porch, firepit area in the backyard and the local lakes. This is an absolute gem!!

Field hockey

We stayed here for a close location yo a field hockey tournament. It was so clean, close and in a safe area! It was dark on the way home so it took some getting used to! Lol. But place was clean, well lit and well stocked for 2 moms and 2 teen girls. Would definitely use again!

Cozy Stay

We had the most wonderful time during our cozy getaway! The location was perfect, just a short hop from the city, making it super convenient for the Richmond marathon. Plus, when we needed to reach out to our host, she was super quick to help us out. It was such a pleasant experience!

We loved the screened in porch

Very nice house. We spent a lot of time in the screened in porch. It was the largest for the 7 of us to sit together, we enjoyed the board games out there. The house was a bit hard to find, but we did arrive just after sunset. The pictures made it seem the lake was right out the back door. One was about a 5ish minute walk. Double check the check in/out time. The confirmation said 2:30/12. The papers in the house said. 3:30/11. Over all we enjoyed time with our family either in the porch or the back yard playing corn hole

Great family stay

My husband and I needed a last-minute place for us and 5 of our children to stay when our RV was having an issue. This house fit everyone comfortably and the kids had plenty of things to do to keep them entertained. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

The location was a little out of the way but a comfortable stay. There was a bit of difficulty communicating with host. (no answer when calling and slow response with emails and messages. We got locked out and couldn't get in touch with host, but fortunately there was an open window from closed in porch to get in through. Overall, a pleasant stay and comfortable beds and great shower.

Charming Vacation Cottage

My husband and I met up with another couple for a few days of R & R. Check-in was easy, and there were clear instructions on the app, as well as additional notes (including area attractions) posted inside. The cottage was lovely with everything we needed. A brutal heatwave kept us from using the front porch (which looked really comfy) and from kayaking on the inviting lake, but we did walk down in the early morning and it was lovely. The house was immaculately cleaned with many sweet touches--from a basket of extra towels to K-cups for the coffeemaker. This was the perfect place to kickback, relax, and catch up with old friends. Highly recommend.

The lake is lovely, and it is a great weekend getaway to enjoy the water during the summer months. We brought our own floaties and such but discovered the property had multiple, as well as kayaks, cornhole, and other outdoor activities. Unfortunately, we experienced poor host communication, with multiple policies differing depending on whether it was on Expedia or VRBO (we booked through Expedia, and did not think to check VRBO for things such as the check-in time, pet fee, etc.), and never heard back when we texted the listed number on the fridge at the property. We were charged fees after our stay for a pet, despite the pet fee not being listed on Expedia. I understand they may be listed on VRBO, but if we book through Expedia, all the fees should be included. Additionally, please note that the lake itself does not allow dogs, even though the property itself is dog-friendly. Additionally, we were approached by members of the neighborhood who expressed their distaste at the rental property, so don't necessarily expect a warm welcome. Overall, the property is lovely for a lake weekend but could use a few improvements for future guests.

Well appointed vacay rental big enough for our crew. Disappointed that we could not go canoeing due to lack of safety vests, and being stung a few times due to wasp nest near utility shed (where games and gear are stored). Otherwise, quiet, comfortable, pet friendly and relaxing after a full day at King's Dominion.

We were in town for the weekend for a Family reunion and my wife and I, her brother and 2 daughters stayed there. The house was perfect for us. I was conveniently located to near relatives and very clean and nicely decorated. We particularly enjoyed hanging out in the screened in porch.

Great getaway

A group of friends from church and I stayed here to attend a marriage retreat at Passion Commmunity Church in Powhatan. We had the best time and the location was perfect for an overnight with multiple couples.

Wedding weekend

We were in town for a family weekend. The house was charming and had everything we needed. The back yard was fenced in and worked out great as we brought our dog. We did not get to use all the outdoor equipment, or take advantage of the lake, but we did enjoy the quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors.

A relaxing place out of the way

We went to Richmond to investigate the area for a possible job prospect and picked this property to give us a bit of a break from the city. It was an easy commute to and from the city and also we visited the mountains one day, so an overall good location that gives you some privacy. We had 2 dogs and they were comfortable, the house was small but adequate for 2 people. Lots of little things like coloring books, magazines, etc for someone to relax with. Plenty of towels, toiletries like shampoo and body wash all provided. The pics make it look a bit more remote than it actually is, there are neighbors all around the cul de sac, but very quiet area, the people next door were very friendly too. Easy parking as well. The backyard was equipped with lawn furniture for relaxing and a big fire pit to hang out at night. We had a great time there.
