The apartment is great: clean, comfortable. EXCEPT the air conditioner is busted. I understand things happen, but this was a heatwave, and the ac was certainly a big part of why I chose this place. I reported it on Sunday morning and never received communication. (I hope the poor owner unit knows how little the management company seems to care.) Unfortunately it Is now Saturday and not only is it still not fixed, Vacasa never once contacted me with information or a follow up. I called them. They did lie several times about when I would receive further information, such as “tomorrow by this time” or “before 3pm today.” I was also told several times that I would get contacted about a ‘loss of amenity’ compensation “tomorrow.” And then, when I called to say I hadn’t heard anything, I was told some excuse about the building management company and insurance company repair claim. That should have NOTHING to do with the substantial payment I made to you, Vacasa. You need to make it right, not blame someone else.
Furthermore, Vacasa was unhelpful with a bizarre occurrence—the building’s fob system is on the fritz. When I contacted Vacasa to let them know I was locked out of the building at 11pm, they told me I should try a key. There is no key. Try a phone number…no answer. Another tenant walking by had to let me in! And neither of us could use the fob-activated elevators.
Absolutely not, not, not okay. If you aren’t on-site you need MUCH better communication.
Just terrible.
