Great stay!
This was our 2nd time in this home and we absolutely love it. It’s spacious for a family of 5. The kids loved their bunk beds. The location is awesome to the Trading Post, which has just about everything you could need. The homeowners did some kitchen upgrades which is really nice and a huge improvement from before. We look forward to booking this house next year and making this a family tradition!

Stay here, just not our week!
Ice maker!! We never bought an ice cube while we were here! Fishing was great! The location on the beach was ideal, the views out the front window and decks were amazing! It was an awesome stay!

Good location
Easy walk to Trading Post and St. Joe Shrimp. But Vacasa did not respond to text I sent about issues with the house- no propane for the grill, no hangers in the closets, broken sliding glass doors, and burned out lights.

Perfect location
The home itself needs some work. Furniture was dirty, dishwasher did not clean dishes well, dead bugs throughout the house (glad they were dead, but it was still startling). Outdoor furniture was not great either. The location relative to the beach and shopping were perfect. I would stay here again, if the owners could improve these things.

Great Week
We have stayed at Dreamsicle 2 years in a row now and we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Hopefully we will be able to rent it again next year. The house needs a lot of work. The decks are very nice but, not an alternative during rain. It would be nice to see the main deck ceiling fixed with a drainage ceiling. We arrived a little early and the house was clean and ready. Can't wait til next year!

Liked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
Lack of maintenance and dirty!
Coackroaches! Mold, Windows leaking Very little hot water in master bedroom Couldn't use the main Sliding door to the deck. No outdoor seating on upper deck. You can see where they are making a few improvements. The outside needs painted so bad it sticks out like the slum house...I could go on but you get the point.

Perfect Location. Could use minor repairs and upgrades.
The location of this home is perfect! Steps to the beach. This home could use some minor updates/fixes. The toilet paper holders were all broken off the walls. Many of the screens had holes/tears in them. The dishwasher seemed very old & did not clean the dishes well. The microwave is very small. And the shower in the master bathroom is one of the smallest I have ever seen, as there wasn’t even hardly room to turn around or bend down if you happened to drop anything. Of course none of these things were a deal breaker for us, as they were all minor in my opinion. And again, the location of this home is absolutely perfect! We had a great time!

Great House and Location
We loved the house and its location. It was right on the beach with easy access. There were people on both sides of us each day on the beach, but it wasn’t overcrowded. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and had good beach etiquette (i.e. not blasting music or smoking close by). The sand was clear from heavy seaweed and the water was very clear. However, like all beaches, this could change with a bad storm, or some other uncontrollable event. The beds and living room furniture was very comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed, and the cabinets were all in good condition. The icemaker was a very nice bonus. Its proximity to the General Store was nice. You can get a good deal of basic supplies there including beer, wine, and liquor. We got pizza from the Shell station general store (not the one right by the house) and it was excellent! Got the thin crust and it was fine when we got it home. We did have to drive down there to order it though, but it only took 20 minutes. Lots of good food in Port St. Joe. Sisters was our favorite. I highly recommend the filet, and it may have been the best one I’ve ever had. 3 of the 4 of us got it (based on one of our group getting it last year), and all 3 were perfect! You wouldn’t really expect it, as it doesn’t look like a steak house. All our food was very good. Great breakfast too. A word of advice if spending any time on the deck at night… get some good no-see-um repellent. They ate me alive one night The chairs and table on the deck were great and all high enough you could see over the rail. Sitting in low chairs and staring at the rail is the worst. Overall, if the price is reasonable next year, we would book again

Disappointing Trip
We were EXTREMELY disappointed. The house is fine, but one of the reasons that I chose Dreamsicle in Cape San Blas for our 43rd anniversary is that it has direct private access to the beach. However, due to the ongoing beach restoration project, our access was cut off beginning on our second day. The beach was closed while excavators and bulldozers built new sand dunes and worked to extend the beach out into the Gulf. A dredger was working offshore to pump sand onto the beach and all of this work continued around the clock. Not only was our beach access blocked for the remainder of our stay, but also the noise of heavy equipment and the incredibly bright work lights kept us awake at night. The only way we could enjoy the beach was to get in our car and drive to a spot with public access. That defeated the purpose of coming to this property in the first place. If there was any damage to the property from Hurricane Michael, it wasn't evident. The house itself wasin good condition, but I can’t understand why you didn’t inform us about the reclamation work and let us know that it might possibly impact our access to the beach. I certainly wouldn’t have selected this property if I’d known that it was a possibility. This project began months ago, so there’s no reason why you or the property owners didn’t make an effort to inform prospective renters.

Great Beach House
Location was fantastic! The beach, sunsets, home, were all wonderful. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed for the week. Our only complaint was that the screens on the doors were broken. It wasn’t really a problem because they sent over someone to fix it the next day. We had an absolutely perfect week. Just sad we had to leave.

Perfect beach, perfect location, clean interior, no funky smells
Property was clean, the location was perfect, the beach was quiet, and the house had everything we needed. Convenience store & ice cream shop was within walking distance. Nice covered & uncovered deck. The outside of the house was dirty but as long as the interior was clean (which it was) we didn't care.

Paradise#1
Isolation & comfort. The only problem we had was riding motorcycles at night we passed the first road by the seafood shop and went to the second road. We got 2 motorcycles stuck in the deep sand but were able to push them out. We got a friendly visit from 2 deputy sheriffs following all the ruckus. We appreciated all the help they offered. We really liked the Trading Post. Good coffee and conversation. The people there were all so friendly.

Amazing view—will return!
The proximity to the beach and shrimp place can’t be beat. We loved how easy it was to build bonfires, fish, and enjoy the scenery. The house is comfortable. Adding some board games for families would be awesome. Thank you!

Cape San Blas- home away
Location was everything!! Great info and easy entry. House was more than what we needed, loved the set up. Few issue’s that needs to be looked into- the king size bed felt like it was uneven, slanted with a lump in the middle. Other than that we loved everything about it.. We will be back!!

Cape San Blas Never Disappoints
It was our first beach vacation, by ourselves, in 30 years. We had a blast. We met a ton of very nice people on the beach and in the shops. The house was on a great piece of beach and was well equipped. The only criticisms I would have is that a lot of the surfaces including the cabinets and floors were sticky and the back porch offered no cover from the rain. The upper porch, understandibly is uncovered but, there should be something like DryBelow, Deck Drain or some kind of ceiling that would allow you to still sit outside when its raining. The shower is a little outdated as most current showers are larger, more open and user friendly. The grille was ok and is probably a seasonal replacement anyway. The outside of the house certainly shows its age and is in need of extensive repairs or replacement. The lights on the upper deck are rusted out hulks of receptacles and should be replaced or repaired with turtle friendly lights. I would love to buy this property and bring it to the level of the houses on either side. It appears that the current owners either don't care or don't have the financial resources to do so. It's a shame. We had a great time but, this house needs work. Not the fault of Vacasa by any means.

Let me give you the skinny😉
This property was perfect for what we needed. We had 4 adults and two teenagers. The house was clean, the beds were super comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and grilling every night as well a blender for many alcoholic concoctions. Brand new washer and dryer, working appliances and comfy living space. Beach access and view could not have been any better. The deck had 6 chairs and a table and was excellent for lounging on unless there was heavy rain or from about 5pm-7pm when the sun is beaming on you. There were tons of card and board games, books and Netflix and Hulu. There is a donut shop, ice cream shop, fresh seafood/lunch spot, general store and liquor store all within walking distance. We are all very roll with the flow kind of people, so we had no real complaints, but here are the only things that could be said to better prepare folks: The grill needs to be replaced. It was very dirty, the grease trap was overflowing everywhere and the propane tank was completely empty. We got a full one at the general store right down the road. The plate for the microwave was MIA and the blender needs to be replaced as well; there is no cap for the lid and it leaks from the bottom. Bring all of your own beach equipment. No floats, umbrellas, chairs, etc are at the house. Beach Planet is about a mile away and has everything you need. There is no roof on the upper deck. The sliding glass doors to the decks have about a 3 inch lip that you are guaranteed to trip on every single time you go in or out. Warn the drunk folk or there will be broken toes. This is a crowded section of Cape San Blas. You will have many neighbors. Our experience with most was positive, our next door neighbors rented a shore shark fishing company 2 nights in a row and landed some very large sharks one night (including a 7 foot hammerhead) which was VERY cool. Some were negative. One group set up 5 fishing poles directly in front of our beach canopy one day then proceeded to write "FU** YOU" in the sand when they eventually left. Sweet folks. This is a very pet friendly beach, which is great! We enjoyed watching all the pups play with their people, but one group preferred to scoop their doggie nuggs and toss them into the ocean while we swam instead of bagging it. Also sweet folks. The crowds will also ensure ungodly lines for donuts and ice cream, so plan accordingly or prepare to be in line for 2 hours. Seriously. All in all it's a great house/good spot

Steps away from the sand!
The house was in a great location and was literally steps away from the beach. Beautiful views too! The house was a great size for a family and was overall well maintained. The appliances did all need to be updated and new outdoor furniture is needed, but other than that, it was overall a really great place to stay.
