Great location for points north, east and south
I would give this house a 5 star rating for cleanliness, updated kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable beds, and location. From the port charlotte area we traveled to punta gorda, boca grande, bonita springs, the dali museum in st. Petersburg, the edison-ford homes in fort myers, and even went inland to lake placid. The neighborhood was very quiet including very little traffic on the canal. We had breakfast on the screen porch every morning and enjoyed watching many land and water birds. The home is pet friendly and having the fenced yard was ideal for early morning and after dark walks. The neighborhood had little traffic and was great for longer walks. This home was new to the rental market and there were a few missing amenities that resulted in the deduction of one star. There were no dressers in the bedrooms and no bedside lamps. As a bedtime reader, this was annoying and was only resolved with the use of a booklight. The kitchen, which had new dinner ware, glasses and a full set of pot and pans, did not have a set of dishes. There were only plastic plates and bowls. I would consider renting this home again the next time i am traveling to this area.
