"Although the location is a bit further from downtown than you would want to walk, it’s worth it. This hotel has been one of the nicest I’ve stayed at in Banff and I have stayed at most of the bigger hotels. "The hotel was good for our ski holiday. The property is a bit of a walk from the majority of restaurants, so we did have a 15-20 minute walk or so each night for dinner. We could've shuttled, but didn't mind the walk. Parking was free and easy under the hotel. The hot tub was large and nice after a ski day. The shuttles to the local ski areas stop right out front. "We had such a nice stay, the hotel is cozy and comfortable yet modern. The check in and service was great. I loved the coffee service they offered, such a nice touch! The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom and products were very nice too! Our favourite part was the roof top hot pools and fireplaces with the nice view! We really enjoyed spending time out there both nights of our stay. "

"Our stay at the Elk & Avenue was comfortable. Staff was friendly. Our room was spacious. Only thing that was slightly inconvenient was the parking. Their underground is quite short so unable to fit larger vehicles so had to park several blocks away for free parking. Rates on the street for parking close by were not reasonable for full day parking for multiple days."

"My room (King size, single) was very spacious and I appreciated having 2 comfy chairs to sit in rather than only being able to sit on the bed. The desk also was appreciated as I did have work to do as well. The Rocky Mountain Soap products in the bath were the best - excellent quality and not your standard hotel offerings. "We took the grandchildren there for their March break. They loved the loft where there was two double beds for them to share. We had a bedroom on the main floor for us. It was very nice to have a kitchen as one of the grandchildren was very particular as to what he would eat and when. Would definitely recommend this to friends and family, and will return in the future. "
