I’m incredibly frustrated and would like someone from Expedia to please reach out and help make this right.
We booked this property based on how lovely the Royals Sands was last year in Cancun. This property is completely different, and while I could list a bunch of reasons why we were disappointed, the main one is that the beach is completely eroded and is nothing at all like what is shown in the photos on the listing on Expedia. Our kids love playing on the beach and swimming in the ocean, and the pictures on Expedia make it look like it’s a wonderful, classic Rivierva Maya beach. The beach was a fraction of the size of what is shown on the listing, is unsafe for kids to walk (much less play) given spear-like stumps and huge rock edges sticking out of the sand, and slimy / seaweed-filled water.
I know it sounds like I’m being dramatic, but I’m happy to share photos from my trip and compare against the photos on the listing. I understand that they are dealing with erosion, but I need that called out in the listing so I can make an informed decision, and not get surprised after booking and showing up on property.
Not sure if this review is public or not, but really hoping someone from Expedia can contact me and help make this right.
