"The house location was good, the village and the natural pool very nice. *****BUT****** the house was not at all the one described. Only 2 rooms instead of 3 announced ! The third room behind the house was closed and, when we found the key, what a surprise ! A very bad surprise ! It seems to be abandoned for several years. All inside was so wet, moldy and dirty. "Unfortunately I cannot recommend that anyone stay here. We had a number of issues: 1. Cleanliness - there were centipedes everywhere, including in our bed during the night which was very unsettling. We complained and basically nothing was done about this, other than putting a useless glue trap down. The house had clearly not been cleaned properly and had cobwebs / dead insects scattered around the place. 2. The toilet was leaking. Again, we complained, and they sent someone to "fix" the...

"Kind people operating it. The property has a great view to the Pico Mountain, there are multiple houses lined up on a small street. It's a very peaceful vibe. It's within walking distance (an a beautiful walk - nice village with flowers, and fruits) to a cafe/bakery, a couple of restaurants, and a nice natural pool for swimming."

"The property was clean and well maintained. The owners have made every effort to ensure that you have everything that you need—reading lights on the headboard of the bed, hangers, plenty of dishes for our family. They live next door and are accessible but are respectful of your privacy. The view from the ftont porch is beautiful and the chickens come to visit!"

"Beautiful, bright open and cozy. We all loved our stay at this Pico home. Location was great and the view amazing! "Historical Portuguese lava stone building that has been completely modernized with all amenities without losing it's traditional charm. Quiet location in close proximity to natural lava pools. Hosts were wonderful to work and communicate with. When there was an issue with the plumbing it was resolved immediately. We were able to gain an appreciation for Portuguese culture. Local store nearby. A car is essential. Restful and relaxing. Great home base when touring the island."
