I had a wonderful stay at this small, laid back, charming, old hotel. I stayed in the single room with twin bed, which was cozy and just enough for me. I loved that you can open the room’s windows. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great for walking to restaurants, shopping and points of interest. The continental breakfast was perfect for starting the day. The evening social was a nice wind down from the day’s activities or a prelude to a night out. Special thanks to Jocelyn who hosted the socials and recommended Mixto restaurant for dinner. Thanks also to Xavier at the front desk and the lovely young woman there Monday morning ( name forgotten) for your hospitality and patience in answering my questions.
If you’re looking for big, bright, state of the art accommodations, the Alexander Inn is not for you. But if you’re ok with quaint, quirky and simple, then this unassuming little hotel may just be the home away from home that you didn’t know you needed.
