"It was as pictured. A very simple one room apartment. Very clean but a bit of a musty smell, it reminded me of my grandmas lake cottage. The bathroom was up to date and very clean. The bed comfy. "When we arrived, there was maintenance crew working on the home so we could not enter originally, then we found out they were spraying the mold thats in the master bedroom closet. The maintenance crew was confused they thought we were coming the next day. The smell was absolutely disgusting and gave us a headache all weekend. The only thing decent about the play was the location, very close to the beach access point since it’s across the street. Location 8/10. House 1/10."

"We stayed in the property almost 20 years ago when it was the Clam Digger and were curious to see the renovations since that last visit. Reviews from previous guests are more or less on point. They’re doing a nice job with the renovation, however, it’s a work in progress. The rooms are very clean, the beds are confortable and every room is oceanfront, which is what we were looking for when traveling down the Crystal Coast while on vacation. The staff are friendly, helpful, and doing the very best they can do in the middle of a refresh. We will definitely try to come back in the future as the changes are ambitious, but well within reach based on what we experienced."
